Worker Charged After Elderly Man He Hit Dies
Shooting At Barbershop Ends With Arrest

Police have arrested a man who struck an elderly man during a confrontation on May 5th. The elderly man struck his head on the floor.
According to the Tampa Police Department, shortly before 1:30 p.m., the victim went through the drive thru of Dunkin’ Donuts, 410 N, 50th Street, and be- came upset due to the lack of service he was receiving.

A 27-year-old has been ar- rested in connection with a shooting Saturday afternoon. The incident took place at the Fade Station Barbershop, 8002 W. Waters Avenue.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 1:00 p.m. on May 8, 2021, a verbal al- tercation ensued inside the Fade Station barbershop. At some point during the argu- ment, one of the people in- volved, identified as Avondre Victor, is alleged to have brandished a gun.
Fearing their lives were in danger, two men ran out of the front of the business. Vic- tor is alleged to have fired several times, striking both of the men.
The victims ran next door to the Sunshine Animal Hos- pital, where the staff ren- dered first aid until assistance arrived. Both men were transported to a local hospi- tal, where they were last listed in stable condition.

his 2004 green Ford Ex- plorer, heading east on W. Waters Avenue. He would later crash the vehicle into a sign near the Amscot, 7250 W. Waters Avenue.
From there, Victor would continue fleeing on foot from the scene of the crash. At some point, Victor suffered a gunshot wound to his leg. Police said it is un- clear at this point whether this shooting was accidental or not. Deputies later located him in the drive-through lanes of the Bank of America, 8320 Hanley Road, where he was taken into custody. Vic- tor was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.

victim to repeat the slur.
The victim repeated the slur and Pujols struck the victim on the jaw. The blow reportedly knocked the victim out and the victim
fell to the floor with his head hitting the floor.
Police arrested Pujols on May 4th and charged him with aggravated battery on an eld- erly person. He was arrested again on May 7th and charged with manslaughter.
Tampa Fire Rescue was contacted and the victim was transported to the hospi- tal. He died at the hospital two days later.
The investigation into the case is continuing.
Man Wanted For Attempted Murder Taken Into Custody

Tampa police arrested a man on active warrants from Polk County early Sunday. The 27-year-old man is fac- ing several charges.
Around 9 a. m., Sunday, Tampa police arrested Mar- cel Bruce, of Lakeland. He has been charged with four counts of attempted murder and shooting into an occu- pied home.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, on May 7, 2021, detectives ar- rested 26-year-old Javon Deshonn Harrison, of Lakeland for 4 counts of at- tempted murder and shoot- ing into an occupied home.
According to the affidavit, on May 7th at around 9:00 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Fort Socrum Vil- lage Boulevard in unincorpo- rated Lakeland concerning complaints of gun fire heard in the area.
When deputies arrived, they found four uninjured victims. One of the victims told the detectives, he was

outside in the driveway when a black Audi car parked near his residence. Harrison, who he recognized because they went to high school to- gether, got out of the passen- ger side of the vehicle and walked toward the victim. The driver of the Audi also got out of the vehicle and walked toward the vic- tim.
Both were pointing hand- guns at the victim. Harrison allegedly fired his hand gun at the victim sev- eral times, with bullets strik- ing the home and driveway, before both he and the driver

fled the area in the car. The victim told detectives that he believed Harrison tried to shoot him because Harrison believed the vic- tim was involved in a prior
incident the day before. During the investigation, detectives identified the driver of the Audi as 28-year- old Marcel Bruce, of Lake- land. Warrants were issued for Bruce after he was iden-
tified as the second person. Harrison is currently in the Polk County Jail and is held with no bond. Bruce was taken to the Hillsbor-
ough County Jail.
