Longtime Insurance Agent Is Not Slowing Down

Ken Anthony has a special affection for Tampa. He was born to Margie Anthony and Samuel Massie and went to local schools. He graduated from Middleton High School and continued his education at Florida Presbyterian Col- lege, which is now Eckerd College.
He served in the military for seven years and after his stint, he got a job as a Life and Health Insurance agent with Aetna Life and Casu- alty, beginning his long ca- reer in insurance.

After years with Aetna, he was recruited by State Farm to open his own agency where he spent much of his career and be-
came well-known. He opened his State Farm agency in 1985 and retired in 2010. He then joined Affinity Insurance and de- cided to open his own agency again when the owner sold the business.
He is now the sole pro- prietor of Ken Anthony In- surance located at 7320 E. Fletcher Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33637. He offers a wide range of services for individual’s insurance needs.
Anthony has three adult children, Ken, Jr., Adrian, and Kenitra, and enjoys spending time with family.

Commissioner Gwen Myers will host a Town Hall meeting for residents of Clair Mel, Palm River, and Win- ston Park on Tuesday, May 18, at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held at Winston Park (The Jeff & Penny Vinik Family Club), 7605 Destin Drive, Tampa.
Residents will have an opportunity to share their concerns and issues with County staff as it relates to the following services: af- fordable housing, code en- forcement, development services, health care, parks and recreation, public utili- ties, public works, social services and solid waste.
“This is a unique oppor- tunity to learn more about County services, other avail- able resources and commu- nicate directly with County department directors,” says Commissioner Myers.
In addition, Commis- sioner Myers has invited Hillsborough County Tax Collector, Nancy C. Millan to attend and discuss their services and resources pro- vided by her office. Tax Col- lector Millan’s staff will be present to answer questions regarding: drivers’ license and ID, payment center,
property taxes, records search, renewal information, and title and tag, says Tax Collector Millan.
“A Spanish speaking translator will be in atten- dance to assist members of our Spanish speaking com- munity. Don’t miss out on this chance to learn more about what Hillsborough County is doing and can do for you, your family, and your community. We look forward to seeing you there,” Commissioner Myers said.

“200 Johnson & Johnson (must be 18 or older) and 80 Pfizer (must be 16 or older) vaccinations will be available on a first come, first serve basis,” Commissioner Myers said.
