Gucci Mane releases copy of book cover.
After Snoop Dogg dropped the video for “Lavender,” the whole country — up to and in- cluding Donald Trump — couldn’t stop talking about it.
President Trump, un- happy at the video that showed a likeness of him being kid- napped and “shot” with a toy gun, went so far as to call Snoop out on Twitter and brand him with one of his fa- vorite tags: “failing.”
Comedian Steve Harvey threw his two cents into the mix during a recent episode of his morning radio show.
“The problem with this is that there’s an office in this country called the ‘president,’ and you have to respect the of- fice. You really do. Whether you want to or not. You have to respect the office. They got laws ... I would hate for anything to come down,” Harvey said.
He also addressed T.I. and
Bow Wow‘s criticism of the president, warning them to keep their eyes on their money.
I love Snoop. Bow Wow, always respectful and cordial with one another, me and T.I. I don’t have no problem with T.I. I love the dude. I’m just saying brothers be smart. You gotta be smart man ... All y’all talking got money. You got money, man. You got money and they know how to go after that money. Just be smart, let me tell ya man, leave the first lady out of this. Y’all going down another path with these cats now. You start messing with they wives ... I’ll tell y’all you going down another path.”
Harvey also seemed to suggest that Snoop Dogg could be held in some way ac- countable for the actions of others if someone were to bring to life the scenario seen in the “Lavender” video.
Gucci Mane has an- nounced his first autobiogra- phy, simply titled The Autobiography of Gucci Mane.
The Trap King shared an image of the book’s cover on his social media Monday, ex- pressing excitement at be- coming an author.
Co-written with journalist Neil Martinez-Belkin, the book is due out September 19
and, according to its Amazon pre-order page, is “an instant classic.”
Gucci (real name Radric Davis) reportedly began put- ting the work together while he was in prison. In the book, he shares his personal ac- count of growing up in East Atlanta and making the tran- sition from drug dealer to full-time rapper who pio- neered the trap music genre.
Mike Epps and Mechelle Epps.
Mike Epps' estranged wife is asking him to fork over six- figures every month to support the family ... according to new docs.
Mechelle Epps claims Mike makes $3.5 million a year, but recently cut her off from bank accounts and credit cards, leaving her high and dry with zero income. She says Mike never wanted her to work during their marriage, and now she can't land a job because she's too old at 36.
In the documents, Mechelle says she spends several thousand bucks a month on shoes and clothes for their 10 and 12-year-old girls.
Plus, the girls have to get their hair braided at an "ex- pensive salon" ... not to men- tion food, vacations and $72k per year for private schooling.
Mechelle says her mom handles nanny duties for a mere $3,500 monthly, plus another $600 to cover Mom's Mercedes.
According to the docs, $109,036 per month from Mike should cover every- thing.
Mechelle also wants sole possession of their house. He filed for divorce in January 2016, but they've yet to reach a final settlement.
