Smartphone Video Can Earn $100 Gift Card, National Fame
Almost everyone knows someone whose kindness rises above the crowd. Describe why they deserve a Family Flame Award and a $100 gift card in a 1-minute smartphone “selfie” video. Or, describe something that you and your friends did to make someone’s road a little easier.
Then just e-mail the video to ForTheFamilyTamp@gmail.co m by November 1.
It’s eligible to win a Fam- ily Flame Award and a $100 gift card at the 4th Annual Na- tional FAM Awards on Friday, November 22 in Tampa. Every video will be honored on For The Family’s YouTube Chan- nel even if it doesn’t win. You’ll also be showing that life has a lot more to offer than what’s on TV. Getting real about being kind will help peo- ple see that without everyday kindness, things would be tougher every day.
Richedean Hills-Ackbar accepts her 2018 Family Flame Award as Ward Cox of For The Family looks on.
It’s all part of “Kindness of the Heart,” a nonstop celebra- tion of the positive that For The Family started in 2016. Administrator W. Ward Cox put it this way: “We’ve all seen the crazy, mean stuff that’s been going on. We’ll all be better off when people see the power of doing the right thing in real-life videos. I haven’t heard of anyone being shot out of kindness.”
Kindness of the Heart in- cludes a National Days of Kindness celebration during the last week of every season and the first week of the next. The Winter Observance is from December 14 – 28.
Meanwhile, For The Fam- ily is also encouraging students to be kind in partnership with Hillsborough County Schools.
