Fight Over Knife Leaves Two Men Injured

Two East Tampa men were transported to a local hospital after a fight. The po- lice said the two men are known to each other.
Officers with the Tampa Police Department re- sponded to the 6200 block of N. 41st Street, shortly after 6 p.m., Wednesday. When they arrived, they discovered two men suffered injuries from a knife.
The investigation re- vealed that the two men were engaged in an altercation that progressed into a physi- cal fight. The unidentified 22-year-old victim was cut on the head during the fight.
At some point, the fight resumed as the victim at- tempted to take possession of the knife. Both men were injured and both were trans- ported to a local hospital to
be treated for their injuries. Police have charged 24- year-old Tommy Dickens,
Jr., with aggravated battery. The investigation is continu- ing.
