MR. ELMON ‘JIT’ WELCH, SR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Elmon “Jit” Welch, Sr., was affectionately known to some as “Preacher Man,” of Tampa FL, who passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, will be held on Saturday, October 26, at 11 a. m., at St. John Progressive Mission- ary Baptist Church, 2504 East Chipco, Reverend Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr., Pastor, officiating.
Elmon was a Tampa native, was born to the late Nellie Welch Tarpley. He was the 3rd of 9 chil- dren. He was reared in Hyde Park, and educated in Hillsbor- ough County Schools.
Elmon was self-employed as a handy-man until he was unable to continue working.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Nellie Welch Tarp- ley; 2 sisters, Madine Welch Clemons and Leatrice Tarpley; 5 brothers, Larry Welch, Sr., Her- bert Welch, Donnie Welch, An- thony Tarpley, and Grady Tarpley; very special aunts, Net- tie Welch Streater and Sadie Lackey; and a special uncle, James Welch.
He leaves to cherish memo- ries of him: a daughter of Miami, FL; 2 sons, Elmon Welch, Jr. and Eric Welch of Tampa FL; 2 grandchildren, Erica Welch and Dominick Otis; a sister, Leatrice Byrd; 2 favorite nieces, Latonia (Jessie) Pruitt and Iglesia (Dar- ryl) Anderson; 2 favorite nephews, Antonio M. Williams, Sr. and John Davis, Jr.; nieces and nephews of Miami, Katrina, Larry, Jr., Dezma Welch, An- thony Jr., Terrance, Antonio, Samuel, John, Marcus, Jr., Char- lotte, Charmaine, and Demet- rice; and a host of grand nieces and nephews of Tampa and Miami, FL; special close cousins, Eddie Welch, Sr., Gene and Jean Caroline Welch, and other Welch family members of Tampa, Ella Mae Fulcher of Hainsworth, FL, Cynthia Harris of Gainesville, FL; and close friends, Alphonso Evans, An- thony Evans, Tiffany Shaw and Tabitha of Tampa.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, October 25, from 5 – 8 p. m. at Ray Williams Fu- neral Home, 301 N. Howard Av- enue.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Church on Saturday at 10:45 a. m. for the service.

Funeral service for Minister Joe Dixon, Jr., who passed on October 10, 2019, will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 2 p. m. at College Hill Church of God in Christ, 6414 N. 30th Street, Tampa, Florida, Superin- tendent Charles Davis, Senior Pastor, with Pastor Larry J. Mouton, Jr. of No Greater Love Baptist Church, officiating. In- terment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, Florida.
Minister Joe Dixon, Jr. was preceded in death by: his grand- fathers, Andrew James Dixon and Robert Dixon, Sr.; grand- mother, Bernetha Dixon; great- grandmother, Daisy Thomas Clark; aunts, Ruth E. Sykes, Ella Louise Jackson; uncles, James Dixon, Ronald Douglas Dixon and Andrew Lee Dixon.
Minister Dixon leaves to cherish memories of him with: his wife, Mialana S. Minister Joe Dixon, Jr., was born on January 1, 1976, in Plant City, Florida to the parentage of Mr. Joe Dixon, Sr. and Panzina Dixon. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Brandon High School, Class of 1994. Minister Dixon was a the owner of Essence Executive Pro- tection & Security Company.
There will be a viewing on Friday October 25, 2019 from 5 – 8 p. m. with the family present to receive friends from 6 – 7 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.

MR. THEODORE R. DONALDSON
Homegoing celebration for Mr. Theodore R. Donaldson will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., Tampa, Florida, Dr. Sam Maxwell, Senior Teach- ing Pastor, with Executive Pas- tor Todd Hammond, Presiding.
On Friday, October 18, 2019, Theodore answered the call of his loving Savior. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, Florida.
Mr. Theodore R. Donaldson was born February 1, 1934, to the parentage of Nathaniel Don- aldson, Sr., and Ollie Lee Dixon in Cottondale, FL. He was edu- cated in the Jackson County School System.
Theodore was employed with the International Long- shoreman Association – Local #1402 for over 50 years as a foreman. He eventually retired in 2014 at the age of 80.
Theodore and his family made their home in the Progress Village Community where they have resided since 1960.
Theodore joined the fellow- ship of The First Baptist Church of Progress Village on April 23, 2017, under the Pastorate of Dr. Sam Maxwell and was baptized into the Baptist faith at the age of 83. He was active in fellow- ship until his health began to fail and would no longer permit.
Theodore was preceded in death by: his parents, Nathaniel and Ollie Donaldson, Sr.; his loving wife of 60 years (who pre- ceded him 6 months ago), Doris; and his brother, Leo Donaldson,
Sr. Theodore leaves to cherish loving memories with: children, Jaffice (Danice) Donaldson, Jimmie L. Hicks, Rachel Pittman, Lula Curry, Alfred Curry, Loretta Donaldson, An- thony Donaldson, Sr. and Daisy Donaldson Lovett; 23 grandchil- dren; 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Ella Jo Gross, Katherine Donaldson, Merle Donaldson, Jean Donaldson and Rose Don- aldson; brother, Nathaniel Don- aldson, Jr.; sister-in law, Helen Barron; brother in law, Tommie Lee McClendon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sor- rowing relatives and friends.

MRS. ANNIE RUTH LESTER HILL
Mrs. Annie Ruth Lester Hill of Tampa passed away, Friday, October 11, 2019. Funeral serv- ices will be conducted on Satur- day, October 26, 2019, at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Elder Larry Waitress, Eulo-
gistM. rs. Annie Ruth Lester Hill, affectionately known as “Sister” to her family, was born the only daughter of Mr. Charles Lester, Sr. and Leila Walters Lester in West Palm Beach, Florida. She had five brothers, three of whom passed away.
She was formally educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County, graduating from Howard W. Blake High School, Class of 1970. She was widowed after the loss of her husband and was the mother of three chil- dren. She worked as a Phle- botomist at One Blood for approximately twenty years be- fore retiring.
Annie Lester Hill was pre- ceded in death by: her parents, Charles Lester, Sr. and Leila Walters Lester; her husband, Minister Andrew Hill; her broth- ers, Charles Lester, Jr., Harvey Lester, Sr., and Marion Brown; her grandparents, Green and Annie Ruth Walters, Sr. of By- romville, GA; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
She leaves a legacy of love and memories to cherish with: her three children, Felicia LaShane Hill, Andre Hill and Angel Demetris Hill; grandchil- dren, Freddie Lee Martin, III, Van Eric Hymes, Jr., Meya MiShayla Hymes, Joshua Emanuel Perry and Adrian Jamier Jones; her brothers, Sylvester Lester and Wayne Sedgwick Lester; aunts, Lena Walters Reddick and Gwen Wal- ters of Akron, OH. She will be missed by a host of loving nephews and nieces, cousins and many other sorrowing relatives and friends, too numerous to name, but who loved her just as much.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his mother, Kawanna Buggs (Kelo Langston); father, Adrian Thomas, Sr.; sisters, Kaylan Langston, A’zariyah Thomas and Nautikah Thomas; brother, Tyrik Thomas; mater- nal grandmother, Linda Reid; paternal grandmother, Sylvia Thomas; aunts, Kelvina Buggs, Natasha Price (Carlos), Melissa Jones, Sandra Thomas, Tara Thomas and Amber Thomas; uncle, Reginald Jones, Darrell Thomas; and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Adrian Lorenzo Thomas, Jr. was born in Tampa, on February 13, 2000 to the parentage of Mr. Adrian Lorenzo Thomas, Sr. and Kawanna Buggs. Adrian was a graduate of Wiregrass Ranch High School, Class of 2018.
There will be a viewing on Saturday at New Hope Mission- ary Baptist Church at 10:45 a. m. prior to the service. Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday for the service.
