Elderly Man Asks For Help In Locating His Daughter
Candidates Qualify For Temple Terrace Offices
Seven individuals have qualified to run for public of- fice in Temple Terrace. Temple Terrace residents will elect a Mayor and two City Council members on November 8th.
The only candidate for Mayor is Ms. Kim D. Lein- bach, a former City Manager of Temple Terrace.
The candidates for the two City Council seats are:
Phil Armiger, a retired Temple Terrace firefighter; Frank M. Chillura, a busi-
nessman and current Mayor of Temple Terrace; Wael S. Odch, a professional engi- neer; Andy Ross, a retired law enforcement, consultant, and member of two municipal boards; Gil Schisler, a re- tired Chief Financial Officer; and Duane Zolnoski, a re- tired Telecommunications Di- rector.
Early voting for the No- vember 8th election will begin October 24th through Novem- ber 6th, from 7 a.m. until 7
p.m., at the Temple Terrace Public Library, 202 Bullard Parkway.
Voters can also cast ballots at any of the listed locations: Grace Family Church; Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church; First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace; Orange River Estates HOA Clubh0use; Woodmont Clubhouse; St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church; Fowler Av- enue Baptist Chruch; Unitar- ian Universalist Church; and Family Recreation Complex.
Mr. Roosevelt Lewis
hasn’t seen his daughter for more than 20 years, and is asking for help in locating her. He said her name is Debra.
“Her mother and I never married, but I did get married to someone else later,” said Mr. Lewis.
“Her mother’s name is Ethel Meal, and I’m just re-
turning to Tampa from Or- lando.
“I would like to reunite with her. I will be teaching theology later this year and my health has been in a steady decline for the past few years. In spite of all of my physical setbacks, I truly feel God has blessed me.”

Three Grant Writing Workshops Planned
The Center for Non-Profit and Community De- velopment and the National Institute for Strategic and Tactical Planning will host free professional grant-writing workshops during the month of Sep- tember. The workshops will take place on three sep- arate dates.
The first workshop will take place on September 24th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the West Tampa Public Library, 2312 W. Union Street.
The second workshop will take place on Septem- ber 28th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Av- enue.
The third workshop will take place on September 29th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Av- enue.
The National Institute for Strategic and Tactical Planning workshops will describe the different types of grants available; describe the different types of grantors; identify research tools available to those seeking grants; describe the fundamental of grant writing; describe the proposal writing process; de- scribe the concept paper, letter of intent, and letter of inquiry process, and identify grant terms.
All three workshops will cover the same informa-
tion. Seating is limited and anyone wishing to attend the workshops must email wefindgrants@aol.com to confirm a seat and to obtain an invitation and workshop packet. No one will be admitted without an invitation.
