The Reds announced the news prior to Saturday’s game against the San Francisco Gi- ants.

MELISSA
This week’s Beauty Unlimited feature is Melissa, and she says her goal has always been to become a model. Melissa said taking professional pictures is exciting, but to imagine you can get paid to do the one thing you love to do is even more of a blessing. Melissa is very much in touch with who she is, and she understands her limitations. She’s also grateful for the experience she has gained, and appreciates having a venue to list her achievements. Congrat- ulations to Melissa as this week’s Beauty Unlimited feature.
Russell Caught With Weed
At LaGuardia Airport
D’Angelo Russell was caught with marijuana in his checked bag at LaGuardia airport in New York City on Wednesday night while try- ing to catch a flight to Louisville, Ky.
TSA “busted” the Brook- lyn Nets guard when an Ari- zona Iced Tea can was flagged in the system. They found the weed in a secret compartment inside the can and they also found some in a grinder also inside the can.
The citation he received is a New York law violation. A person can be punished with a fine of $100 or less.
Russell, 23, initially

claimed that the weed was his brother’s, according to law enforcement. But, his state- ment didn’t work in his favor since he was alone and the can was in his bag. Fortu- nately, he was allowed to leave.
Phoenix Suns
Announce Monty
Williams As Head Coach
There’s a
catch, however. The Lakers haven’t actually made an offer yet.
The Lakers brought in Lue for an interview in late April. He reportedly made a “lasting impression” on the team.
The Lakers also interviewed Philadelphia 76ers assistant Monty Williams for the posi- tion. Williams was taken out of the running Friday, as he signed a five-year deal to coach the Phoenix Suns. That could explain why the Lue news leaked now despite it still being early in the process.
Assuming Lue still wants the position, the two sides should be able to come to- gether on a deal soon. While the Lakers weren’t particularly good this season, the team is on the upswing heading into the summer.
TYRONN LUE
The Phoenix Suns hired Monty Williams, the Philadelphia 76ers’ assistant, as their new head coach Fri- day.
Williams, 47, was the New Orleans Pelicans head coach from 2010-15. He had a 173-221 (.439) record in his five years. The team made the playoffs in his first and final seasons.
He previously served as an assistant for five seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. After his head coaching stint he was an assistant for a year with the Oklahoma City Thunder in ’15-16. He took time off after his wife’s death and returned to coaching with the 76ers under Brett Brown.
Philadelphia is up 2-1 in the East semifinals and will host the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Williams will stay

with the 76ers through the playoffs.
“I’m honored to become head coach of the Phoenix Suns and very grateful to Robert Sarver and James Jones for entrusting me with the opportunity,” Williams said in a statement. “I am also so thankful to the 76ers or- ganization for their support throughout the process and remain committed to pursu- ing the goals we set out to achieve this season.
