Local Businesswoman Educates And Advocates For Medicare Users

Kimberly Crowell is a Tampa insurance agent working to help peo- ple navigate the challenging world of Medicare. Her company ANKYM In- surance works with seniors, disabled people, and anyone who uses Medicare.
Crowell was born in Miami, Florida and attended local schools. After graduating from high school, she moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida.
Crowell has worked in different industries including customer service and sales. Always looking to help people, she went back to school in 2001 to become an ultrasound tech- nician. She worked for a traveling
health care screening company be- ginning in 2009. She enjoyed con- versing with and discussing the advantages of being proactive about one's health.
As a licensed health agent in the state of Florida, Crowell is looking forward to helping individuals deter- mine the health plan that fits their in- dividual needs.
She started her health insurance business in July of 2021.
Crowell states that educating her clients is the most important thing. Whether she is talking about insur- ance or being proactive about their health. She states that listening to her clients is also crucial.
“Older people are very commu- nicative and talking to them about what they actually need helps me to
find an appropriate plan to match their needs,” Crowell stated.
As a person who works with many different insurance companies, Crowell has the necessary tools to tailor plans and give personalized in- surance to clients.
Crowell has been happily mar- ried to Carl Crowell for 31 years. They have two children, Schilere and Eric, and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, especially her two granddaughters that help her with the business.
“I couldn’t have started my busi- ness without the help of my husband and family,” she concluded.
