Former Radio Gospel Announcer Launches 24/7 Internet Gospel Station
 BY GWEN HAYES Sentinel Editor
A former radio station Gospel An- nouncer has launched a 24/7 internet gospel station.
Adrian Darnell shared recorded gospel music and personal interviews with gospel artists while he was the Gospel Radio personality at WTMP Radio, 1150-AM. Darnell was at the station for nearly 2 years, before de- parting in August, 2020.
Working under the umbrella of
Love And Respect God’s Entre- preneurs (LARGE), www.largeintl.com, WDAL Radio is one of the entities of LARGE.
Darnell was led to start the inter- net gospel radio station “because that’s where the industry is going now. The majority of people are
watching their phones or looking at TV. People are not listening to tradi- tional radio anymore.” Three times daily,9a.m.,12noonand7p.m., there are interviews with individuals from the gospel community.
As for the types of gospel music featured, he said, “a broad blend of music. Florida is a quartet state, so we feature a lot of quartets; and the gospel classics that people love.”
Darnell, a native of Palm Beach, has several other entities that capture his attention. One of those is M. E. R. G. E. (Maximizing Economic Re- source Gathering Exchange), Tampa Community Business Conference, which is held the first Monday of each month at Lakewood Community Church Of God in Brandon.
“Our mission is to support entre- preneurs and the local economy,

by merging local resources in one
place on the web, pointing local con- sumers to quality small businesses within their community,” he said. “We want our money to stay in our community for longer than 6 hours,” he added.
The June 7th Community Business Conference will feature Sam Harris, III, Jorgie Franks, Courtney Is- rael, Earnest Pinder, III, ands live entertainment by the Exciting GospelWarriors. Darnell will serve as host.
On that same date from 3-5 p. m., participants can connect with Hill Harper and Majah Robert, founders of The Black Wall Street, through the Digital Financial Tour.
