Man Facing 2nd
   Kidnapping Suspect Taken Into Custody
A 32-year-old man wanted in connection with beating a victim and then kidnapping her has been taken into custody. He was arrested by the Plant City Po- lice Department Sunday.
According to a news re- lease, Plant City Police lo- cated a stolen vehicle and identified the driver as Cody Lee Jackson. He was then taken into custody.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and the suspect, identified as Cody Jackson, were at a residence on King Charles Circle, in Seffner, when they became engaged in a physical altercation

around 11 a.m. last Sunday. During the altercation, Jackson is alleged to have struck the victim in the head with a piece of wood, causing serious injuries. He is said to
have forced the victim into a 2003 silver Mitsubishi Eclipse and drove away.
He later stopped and tied the victim’s ankles and wrists with extension cords, police said.
After entering the city of Inverness, in Citrus County, Jackson reportedly stopped at a convenience store. Jack- son reportedly fled the scene after realizing the victim had escaped. The victim was transported to Citrus Memo- rial Hospital, for medical treatment.
The vehicle was later lo- cated near the intersection of U. S. 41 North and Sunset Lane, in Tampa, police said.
   Quarrel At Towing Lot Ends In Fatal Shooting
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. The crime took place in St. Petersburg.
According to the St. Pe- tersburg Police Department, officers responded to a shoot- ing on Sunday afternoon. When they arrived at 1253 8th Avenue, S., they discovered that a woman had been shot. She was transported to a local hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries.
Her 18-month-old daugh- ter was at the scene at the time of the shooting, but was not injured. The Department of Children and Families re- sponded and took custody of the child.

A man, identified as
Temidayo Ayoola, was at the scene when police ar- rived. He was questioned and later charged with second-de- gree murder. Police believe the shooting was domestic re- lated.
Degree Murder
Charge
  A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is accused of killing an- other man during a con- frontation at a towing and recovery lot in Mulberry.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 6:30 p.m., Monday, deputies responded to Strapped Transport Towing and Recovery, 1330 Virginia Street, in Mulberry, in refer- ence to a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered that one person was lying in the yard of the business.
A second person was ob- served lying in the yard, ap- parently struck by a vehicle. Both victims were transported to Lakeland Regional Health by Polk County Fire Rescue. The first victim, suffering a gunshot to the head, was pro- nounced deceased. The sec- ond victim was treated for his injuries and listed in stable condition. The third person was transported to a local hos- pital as a medical precaution.
Investigation revealed the unidentified dead man re- sponded to Strapped Trans- port Towing and Recovery to obtain his vehicle that had been impounded the day be- fore. While completing the process of retrieving his vehi-

The man was able to put his vehicle in gear and drive down the roadway to get away from Denn.
Once down the road, the man turned his vehicle around and accelerated his vehicle towards another man and the suspect, who were still standing in the roadway.
The deceased man struck Denn with the right front bumper of his vehicle which caused Denn to go air- borne and land in the front yard of the business.
The deceased man then exited his vehicle, which was still in the roadway, and at- tempted to run towards the trunk of the vehicle and away from the suspect.
As the man exited the ve- hicle and ran away, the sus- pect fired three rounds at him. The third round struck the man on the right side of his head, slightly just behind and above the right ear. The man immediately fell to the ground.
Police said the dead man never produced a weapon and was running away from Denn at the time of the shooting. Denn was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

When the owner of the business, Michael Shane Denn, II arrived, he told the man to wait for his vehicle off of the business property.
A verbal dispute then began between Denn and the other two men. The deceased victim then removed the vehi- cle he had driven from the business property and parked it into the roadway.
After he moved the vehi- cle, he was approached by Denn, who allegedly walked up to the driver’s window and began punching the victim in the face while he was still sit- ting in the driver seat. When the man would attempt to exit his vehicle, Denn would shut the driver door preventing

Parking Lot Dies
Late Monday night, police officers responded to the Idle Spur Bar, 1351 Cleveland Street, in reference to a shoot- ing. When they arrived, they discovered a young man had been shot several times.
According to the Clearwa- ter Police Department, the shooting took place two min- utes before midnight. An unidentified man reportedly walked up to 23-year-old Da’Jon Dre’Shaud Ten- nell. The suspect fired sev- eral shots, striking Tennell multiple times and fled the scene. Tennell died at the scene, shortly before 12:30 a.m.
Police do not believe it was a random shooting and be- lieve that Tennell was the in- tended target.

eral patrons in the area at the time of the shooting. Detec- tives are asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed the shooting to contact the Clearwater Homi- cide Unit. The investigation is continuing.
