AIKENS
MR. JEFFREY MICHAEL HOBBS, SR.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Jeffrey Michael Hobbs, Sr., of Tampa, FL, who transi- tioned on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, will be held on Satur- day, September 12, at 11 a. m. at New Beginning Ministries of Tampa, FL, 11323 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, FL 33612, Elmer Wilson, Pastor. Ernest Howell, Pastor of Grace and Truth Fel- lowship International will be officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery.
Jeffrey was born May 22, 1959 in Tampa, FL, to the late Myra J. Williamson. He was the grandson of the late Dea- con Colmon and Evangelist Jessie Mae Wilson. Jeffrey graduated from King High in 1977.
He worked for the City of Tampa, Waste Management and P&L Cleaning Services for many years. He was the eldest of 5, and he was known for his fierce protection over his sib- lings, especially his sisters. He was a fun-loving person with a gift for comedy. There was never a dull moment when Jef- frey was around. He knew how to brighten up a room with his jokes and humor.
In his youth, Jeffrey was a member of New First Union M. B. Church under the leadership of his stepfather, the late Rev. Rufus Williamson and Pastor Joseph Thompson. Jeffrey was also an anointed singer and he was one of the original mem- bers of New First Union’s Angel Choir.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Myra
Williamson; grandparents, Col- mon and Jessie Mae Wilson; uncles, Colmon Wilson, Jr., Ed- ward Wilson, Sr., Gerald Wil- son; and niece, Aujonae Betts.

A Graveside Celebration for Mr. James Edward Jackson of Tampa, Florida, who passed away Friday, September 4, 2020, will be held Saturday, September 12th, 3 p. m. at Garden of Memo- ries Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Elder Gregory Jackson, officiat- ing. The interment will follow.
James Edward Jackson was born April 18, 1941 in Ocala, Florida, to James and Bernice Jackson. James loved to work on automobiles.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, brother, Louis Jack- son and Zarah “Lee Andrew” Jackson; sisters, Helen Mitchell (Robert), Eleanor E. Beauford and Valarie A. Schlosser; nieces, Nekita Harris and Andra Jack- son; and nephews, Larry Jack- son, Jr. and Bay Isiah.

MRS. DAISY MAE JENKINS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Daisy Mae Jenkins of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020, will be held Saturday, September 12th, 1 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor Larry Roundtree, II, officiating, pastor of New Mt. Zion M. B. Church. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Daisy Mae Jenkins was born on June 2, 1937 in Avon Park, FL and accepted Christ at an early age. When she was 10 years old, her father moved the family to Tampa, Florida, where she attended public school and was a graduate of Middleton High School.
She married Ernest G. Jenk- ins, Sr., in June of 1955. She worked for many years at General Telephone Company, where she retired as a Circuit Board Techni- cian. Remembering the life and legacy of Sister Daisy Mae Jenkins. She was a faithful mem- ber of the New Mt. Zion M. B. Church of Tampa, FL, for over 65 years. During that time, she served as the Advisor and Direc- tor of the Jr. Choir in the 1970s. She also served as Presi- dent of the Sr. Mission, Choir Di- rector for the Voices of Praise and honorary member of the Golden Gems. She also served as Choir Director for Allen Temple AME Church and was affiliated with the National Baptist Convention.
At home she was a wonderful cook and specialized in baking Red Velvet, Lemon and Pound cakes.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Anthony and Jemima Cross; her brother, George L. Griffin; her sister, Elvira R. Pinder and daughter, Sonia M. Franklin.
She leaves to cherish her pre- cious memories with: her spouse, Ernest G. Jenkins, Sr. of 65 years; a loving and devoted son, Ernest G. Jenkins, Jr. (Denise); loving nieces, Brenda McAllister and Sabrina P. Myers (Rick); lov- ing nephews, Earnest A. Pinder, III (Victoria) and Anthony Grif- fin; loving grandsons; Adrian D. Jenkins (Danielle), Lamont Walker and Reginald Franklin (Angel); and granddaughter, Jemicia Franklin; 2 grand nephews; 11 great grands and 3 great-great grands; a host of friends and church family.
The visitation will be held Fri- day, September 10th from 5 to 7 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.

A Graveside Service will be held for Mrs. Earnestine Wash- ington, who transitioned on Sep- tember 6, 2020.
Mrs. Washington was a na- tive of Tampa, Florida who was born March 23, 1947, to Clyde and Bertha Washington. She was educated in Hillsborough County School System.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Sep- tember 12, 2020, at 11 a.m. Graveside at Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery 4615 E. Hanna Ave., 33610. Pastor Car- olyn Riggins Officiating, Inter- ment at Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery.
Earnestine was preceded in death by: her parents; Clyde and Bertha Washington; sister; Shirley Johnson; niece; Fredricka Jackson; and great niece Ayesha Harrison, great nephew Mannisenee Jackson, and Ayan Harrison.
She leaves to cherish her memory sister, Cleo Lowe, brother, Sylvester Washington; nieces, Kathy Lowe Derr (Ron), Gail Harrison (Archie), Lavonne Anderson, and Karen Hart (Leonard); great nieces, Temeeka Thompson (Dallas), Lexus Derr, Ayanna Harrison, and Terrencia Nichols; great nephews, Eugene Akines (Tasha), Reginald Hunt, Jr., Jessie Jackson, Jr. (Keena), Antwan Bynum, and Terrence Nichols, Jr.; great grands, 14 and great, great grands 3; 2 special friends, Valencia Graham and Edwina Sheppard.
