MR. JOE ALSTON
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Joe Al- ston of Ft. Myers, FL, announces his passing on Friday, Septem- ber 4, 2020, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Joe was born on June 3, 1936, to the late George Alston and Isabella Gadsden in Beau- fort, South Carolina. He was the youngest of 17 children.
He was a retired professional tiler and loved playing dominoes in his spare time.
He is survived by: his wife and caregiver, Mrs. Patricia Al- ston; and his children from his first wife, the late Barbara Al- ston – Sharon Alston and family, Barbara Alston and family, Joel Alston and family, and Dwayne Alston and family.
He is also survived by his children by his second wife, Jacqueline Mims, Ursula Mims Wilson (Stanley), Ellery Mims and special caregiver, Kevon Spike and their families.
He is survived by his siblings, Mr. Thomas Alston and family, Mr. George Alston and family, Mr. Freddie Alston and family and Mrs. Wilhelmenia Alston Clark; special mention of his late daughter, Margaret Yvette Al- ston, who preceded him in death in early 2020.
Other survivors are: mother- in-law, Mrs. Lois Rogers; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; all his neighbors on Brookhill Drive and St. Charles St. in Ft. Myers will truly miss him.
No funeral is scheduled and the family will announce a Me- morial Dedication at a later date.

MRS. EVELYN INEZ BRONSON-EDWARDS
Mrs. Evelyn Inez Bronson-Ed- wards of Tampa, passed away Sat- urday, August 29, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Satur- day, September 12, at 11 a.m., at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Rev- erend James P. Mitchell, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mrs. Evelyn Inez Bronson-Ed- wards was a native and life-long resident of Tampa. She was edu- cated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Henry B. Plant High School and furthered her educa- tion with Tampa College and Erwin Technical College and began her career as a Correc- tional Nurse.
She leaves to cherish her memories and mourn her ab- sence: her surrogate daughter, Temika Bronson; grandchildren, Aaron Ghee, Christopher Ghee, and Mickayla Augustin; her lov- ing mother, Electra Bronson (Tim); siblings, Jeffery Bronson, Sr. (Barbara), Tylvis Bronson (Louise), Gina Bronson (James), Alvin Bronson (Anika), Brian Bronson, LaVonndrea Bronson, and Eddie Bronson, Jr.; step sib- lings, Albert Perry (Denise), Lawrence Sanderson (Rosie), and Leon Henry Sanderson (Toni); aunts, Elizabeth Koonce, Eartha Johnson (Huston), Elouise Gra- ham (Joe), and Sharon Williams (Marcus); uncles, Randolph Pope, Lorenzo Bronson (Carol), and Ulyesse Grace (Imogene); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and special compan- ion, Teddy Tinsley; and special friend, Ethel Wright.

Mrs. Yvonne Emmons of Tampa passed away on Tuesday September 1, 2020. A Graveside funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 12, at 11 a.m., at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610, with Apostle Clarence Davis, officiat- ing. Interment will follow.

Mrs. Yvonne Emmons was a native of Saint Petersburg, FL and a resident of Tampa FL for 50+ years. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Cenquita Barnett, and Lashone Jackson; son, Vernal Bradford (Rosalyn Bradford); grandchildren, Taquoia Bradford, Shakarrio Bradford, Vernal Bradford, Jr., and Michael Jackson; her sisters, Ada Davis (Clarence Davis), Doretha Perry, and Geraldine Gilchrist (Jimmy Gilchrist); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

MR. JAMES B. McDANIEL
Mr. James B. McDaniel of Tampa passed away Friday, Sep- tember 4, 2020. Visitation will be held Friday, September 11, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Ray Williams Fu- neral Home, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, Tampa, Florida 33606. Interment will follow in the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513.

Mr. James B. McDaniel, affec- tionately known as “Shortie Mac,” was a native of Hillsborough County in Tampa, Florida.
He was born to Moses and Annie Mae McDaniel on July 11, 1925 and attended public schools in Hillsborough County.
Following graduation, Mr. Mc- Daniel signed up for the United States Navy and proudly served from 1941 to 1946 ending his ca- reer with an honorable discharge.
Upon his discharge from the military, he relocated back to Tampa, where he met and married his first wife. The culmination of the beautiful union resulted in four children. The two remained together until her passing.
Mr. McDaniel later married his second wife. Their blended family resulted in the addition of three more children. The two were together until her passing.
After meeting his third wife, the blended family grew by the ad- dition of four more children. Mr. McDaniel worked hard in the field of construction around the Bay Area.
He later went on to enjoy a very fulfilling career as a SkyCap with the Tampa International Air- port serving for 35 years. Even after the age of 80, he dedicated 8 years to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office as a School Cross- ing Guard.
Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by: both his parents, Moses and Annie Mae McDaniel; his first wife, Elizabeth McDaniel; his sec- ond wife, Mildred McDaniel; his sister Gracie Mae Ford; his brother, John “Bubba” McDaniel: his son, Horace A. Anderson; and his daughter, Cynthia McDaniel.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: a loving wife, Earma Mc- Daniel; five sons and a daughter, James “Jim” McDaniel (Diane), Saundra Lyons (Ned), Willie “Bobby” McDaniel, Michael Mc- Daniel, Anthony McDaniel (Linda), Glen Jackson (Cheryl), and Reggie Webster, all of Tampa, FL and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

MR. VE’TALLIAN MARCELE ODOM
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Ve’Tallian Marcele Odom, “Tally,” of Tampa (Carver City), Florida, who passed away on September 1, 2020, will be held Saturday, Sep- tember 12th, 2 p.m., at Allen Tem- ple A.M.E. Church, 2101 Lowe St., with Reverend Dr. Glenn Dames, Pastor, Apostle Otis Cooper, offici- ating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ve’Tallian Marcele Odom was a native of Tampa, Florida. Tally was a 2009 graduate of Jefferson High School. He was a longtime employee of McDonald’s Casper Company and currently employed at Jimbo’s BBQ.
Tally was a genuinely loved gentle giant, who enjoyed hanging in his neighborhood with family and friends and spending time with his daughter.
He was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Shelia King; great, great grandmother, Mattie Bethune; great grandmother, Ada Jo Bethune; Uncle, Ronald Bethune; and Aunt, Deborah Mur- phy-Bethune.
