   Sankofa Celebration At Saunders Library
 The Robert W. Saunders, Sr. Branch Library held its Black History Month Celebration on Feb- ruary 24, 2018. The event was entitled, “Sankofa” (“Go Back and Retrieve”).
Program participants were: Sankofa Drummers, Durojaye Olafemi, Margie Edmead, Yvette Madison, Rhythm Architects, Melisha Campbell, Sankofa Family, Mary Kaufman, Royal McIntyre, Angela ‘B,’ Sankofa Voices and Sankofa Dancers.
The guests joined in program participants in their African attire.
The show was presented by the Sankofa Committee in partnership with the library and co- sponsored by the Ada T. Payne Friends of the Urban Libraries. (Photos by Frederick Harris)
