Young Buck was report- edly arrested in Nashville, Tennessee on last Wednesday (February 2) after police re- sponded to a domestic distur- bance at an ex-girlfriend’s home. According to TMZ, the former G-Unit rapper called his former partner and in- formed her he was coming over. When she didn’t answer the door, she said Buck began kicking in an attempt to reach her.
Once Young Buck finally fled, she noticed damage to her vehicle’s passenger and driver sides. That’s when she called the police. Video footage con- firmed Buck indeed was the perpetrator and sought out his arrest. Officers finally caught up to Young Buck during a routine traffic stop.
Young Buck was taken into custody on felony vandal- ism charges but released on
will appear in federal court there on Thursday. The three other defendants were ar- rested in Manhattan on the same day, and are scheduled to appear in the city's federal court on Wednesday, the U. S. attorney's office said.
Authorities identified a drug trafficking organization that had been operating in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn since August 2020. The U. S. attorney's of- fice alleges that the organiza- tion sells "heroin laced with fentanyl and a fentanyl ana- logue" on the street and in an apartment building.
That organization al- legedly sold Williams drugs the day before he overdosed, with Cartagena allegedly ex- ecuting the transaction. The interaction was caught on surveillance video, according to the U. S. attorney's office.
Williams, an Emmy-
nominated actor best known for his role in "The Wire," was found dead at his Brooklyn home on September 6. He was wearing the same clothes seen in the surveillance video from the day before, charging documents said. The Medical Examiner found he acciden- tally died of "acute intoxica- tion by the combined effects of fentanyl, p-fluorofentanyl, heroin and cocaine," and the U. S. Attorney's Office alleges he used the fentanyl-laced heroin purchased from the Brooklyn-based drug organi- zation.
According to the U. S. at- torney's office, the four defen- dants continued to sell the drugs in Brooklyn and Man- hattan after Williams' death.
U. S. Attorney Damian Williams called drug over- doses a "public health crisis" and vowed to bring those in- volved to justice.
