Warrant Issued For Convenience Store Shooting Suspect
Shooting Suspect Facing Murder Charge
         SHOOTING SUSPECT
Police have identified a sus- pect in a shooting that left an 18-year-old man seriously in- jured last Saturday. A warrant has been issued for the 17-year- old suspect.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, the unidenti- fied victim walked out of the Fat Boy Grocery, 1345 E. Osborne Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. As he walked away, a teenager walked past him and into the store. The suspect then pro- duced a handgun, walked back outside the store and suddenly shot the other man twice.
The suspect and a young boy who was with him fled the store on foot. The victim suffered life-

threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He is expected to survive, police said.
The suspect shown in the surveillance photograph has been identified as Eric Word- law. When taken into custody, he will be charged with at- tempted murder.

ARTEZ DAVIS ... Murder Victim
Police are continuing their search for a man linked to a murder. The shooting took place last Saturday afternoon.
The man accused of fatally wounding 23-year-old Artez Davis, has been identified as 22-year-old Ajani Welch, of St. Petersburg. Welch is

wanted for first-degree mur- der.
According to the St. Peters- burg Police Department, about 12:45 p.m., last Saturday, Davis was walking in the alley near 18th Avenue South and 47th Street when Welch allegedly fired several shots at him.

Davis was transported to Bayfront Health Hospital, where he later died.

 14-Year-Old Arrested For Threats Of Mass Shooting
    Suspects Who Used Stolen Debit Card Being Sought
A 14-year-old student has been arrested in connection with making threats of a mass shooting. The incident took place on October 15th.
According to deputies, the LiFT Academy School, 13400 Park Boulevard, in Seminole, gave the parents of the 14- year-old the option to with- draw their son from the school or have him expelled. He had been involved in an altercation the week before.
The student’s parents de- cided to withdraw the youth from the school.
Deputies say after being withdrawn, Wyatt Shahade sent text messages to a class- mate stating, “I’m finna shoot that school up.”
In addition, Shahade specifically mentioned two other classmates and a school faculty member as shooting targets in the text messages.
The following morning a parent of a student that Sha- hade texted saw the messages and alerted the school. The
hade at his residence where he remained cooperative dur- ing the investigation. An adult family member allowed deputies to search the resi- dence and it was determined that Shahade had no access to any firearms.
The teenager admitted to deputies he sent the threats because he was “mad.”
Shahade was arrested and charged with written threats to kill or do bodily harm; electronic communica- tions. He was transported to the Pinellas County Juvenile Assessment Center without in- cident.
The investigation is contin- uing.
Detectives are cur- rently attempting to identify three suspects caught using a stolen debit card. The card was taken from a vehi- cle during a burglary.

broke into a parked ve-
hicle in the parking lot of the Captiva Club Apartment Com- plex, located in the 5000 block of Dosina Lane. A debit card was taken from the vehicle.
Later, three suspects en- tered the Marathon Gas Station, 5701 Memorial Highway and paid for their purchases with the stolen debit card. The sus- pects were captured on surveil- lance video using the card at the Walmart, 1505 N. Dale Mabry Highway.
While in the store, the sus- pects purchased several items including a video game system

The first suspect is a His- panic male with red hair. The other two suspects are Black males. They could possibly be traveling in a two-door, blue
hatchback.
