JA’MASE RINGGOLD ... Charged with having gun
Two high schools were ar- rested Wednesday and charged with having weapons on campus. The weapons were discovered after the two be- came engaged in a fight.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Ja’Mase Ringgold, 17, and 15-year- old Desmond Sheppard became engaged in an alterca- tion at Blake High School. The assistant principal intervened and took both teenagers to the office.

teenagers. While searching Ringgold, the officer found a firearm. During the search of Sheppard, the officer lo- cated a knife on him.
Police said the weapons were not displayed during the altercation. The school was placed on lockdown during the event.
Ringgold was charged with possession of a firearm on school grounds, theft of a firearm, and violation of pro- bation. Sheppard was charged with possessing a knife on campus.
Early Monday, the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice responded to a Riverview home after two adults were located dead inside the home. The investigation that began with the report received at 4:45 a.m., has since been re- classified from being suspi- cious deaths.
According to police, the Zoltan Ambrus, 63, lived at 4663 Pond Ridge Drive. His 41-year-old son, Tamas Am- brus, lived in Port St. Lucie.
Officials said the Hillsbor- ough County Medical Exam- iner’s Office listed the cause of death for both men as a single gunshot wound to the head. The deaths have been reclassified as a murder-sui- cide.
No additional information was available at press time.
A man is facing manslaughter charges after becoming involved in a bar fight that turned deadly. The fight took place at the Stinger Bar, 2222 49th Street, South, in St. Petersburg.
According to police, Vin- cent Hollingsworth, 62, was playing pool inside the bar last Sunday night with another man. Mario Re- nard Stephens, 32, was also inside the bar. Hollingsworth and the man he was playing with be- came engaged in a quarrel and Hollingsworth struck the other man in the face several times with a cue ball.
The fight was broken up by two bouncers, who sepa- rated the men. Police said Stephens came up behind Hollingsworth and struck him over the head with a beer bottle. Hollingsworth stumbled backward as the bouncers attempted to hold Stephens back.
However, police said Stephens was able to break free and struck Hollingsworth several more times with the bottle and his fists. Hollingsworth fell to the

floor, striking his head on the pool table during the fall. Hollingsworth was transported to Bayfront Health of St. Petersburg, where he died at 12:33 a.m.,
Monday morning. Stephens left the bar
after the incident, but was later observed in the area in the vehicle he drove away in. He was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
Police did not release the name of the man Hollingsworth was fight- ing with or the relationship between that man and Stephens.

Apparent Domestic Dispute Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured
Phone Thefts
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home at 3317 Willow Road, Tuesday night. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult fe- male dead inside the home.
The woman has been iden- tified as Santos Simona Gonzalez-Lopez, 32, of that address. The injured man identified himself to police as 45-year-old Leopoldo Galarza-Espinosa, whose address is unknown.
Police stated that when they arrived, Ms. Gonzalez- Lopez was discovered unre- sponsive on the bed. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Galarza-Espinosa was con- scious and identified himself to police. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. He was listed in stable condition.
According to police,
Galarza-Espinosa and Ms. Gonzalez-Lopez had been boyfriend and girlfriend until about 3 weeks ago. Galarza- Espinosa had gone to the house and demanded entry, but she refused.
She eventually allowed him to enter after he contin- ued to bang on the door. Once inside, an argument took place and Galarza-Es- pinosa produced a small handgun from his pocket.
He allegedly told Ms. Gonzalez-Lopez that “two people are going to die.” He then shot her three times and turned the gun on himself. Galarza-Espinosa report- edly spontaneously told po- lice, “It’s because I found her with someone else.”
He also asked deputies if she was “ok.” Galarza-Es- pinosa is facing a first-degree murder charge, police stated.
Detectives are currently searching for two men in con- nection with the theft of sev- eral cell phones. The incident took place on March 30th.
According to the Plant City Police Department, the two Black men entered the AT&T, 2513 Thonotosassa Road, around 7:15 p.m. They were observed grabbing sev- eral phones on display and running out the front door.
A witness observed the men get into a Dodge Charger driven by a third Black man. The two men who entered the store are said to be in their early 20s and were wearing black stocking caps.
