Jameis Winston Texts Teammates After They Win Without Him
JAMEIS WINSTON
It was another rollicking win for the Tampa Bay Bucca- neers, full of big plays and fun.
And while back-up quarter- back Ryan Fitzpatrick was stealing the show on the field and off (by showing up for his postgame press conference wearing DeSean Jackson‘s clothes and jewelry), the guy who used to be the quarterback was sending messages of his own.
The suspended Winston sent a group text to the Bucca- neers rececivers after the game which read: “Awesome game!”
“That was great to hear from him,” wide receiver Mike Evans said. “Jameis did an awesome job in camp, and he supported Fitz all the way. But he’s a team guy.”

MIKE WALLACE
Philadelphia Eagles wide re- ceiver Mike Wallace, spotted in a walking boot after a loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday, suffered a potentially season-ending ankle injury in that game.
The injury makes the Eagles suddenly thin at wide receiver. Wallace suffered his injury in the first half of the Eagles' 27-21 loss to theBuccaneers.

Four minutes into the game, Illinois (2-1) jumped out to an early 7-0 lead be- fore the Bulls responded with an 11-play, 75-yard drive in 3:02 to tie things up on Jordan Cronkrite’s first touchdown in the green and gold.

Trailing 19-7, the Bulls (3-0) scored 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and took their first lead of the night on the Salomon touchdown.
BLAKE BARNETT
Barnett completed 23- of-40 attempts for 411 yards, good for the second-best passing performance in USF history. Both of his touch- down passes were to the jun- ior Salomon in the fourth quarter, who finished with five catches for 95 yards.
Redshirt freshman Ran- dall St. Felix played a large role in the comeback, com- pleting his second 100-yard game with 120 receiving yards including a 55-yard jump-ball reception early in the fourth quarter.
Floyd Mayweather Says
Rematch With Manny
Pacquiao Coming This Year
Dwyane Wade Announces
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. says a rematch of his much-hyped 2015 fight with Manny Pacquiao will take place this year.
Mayweather posted on Instagram Saturday, saying, "I'm coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year another 9 figure pay day on the way."
Saturday's Instagram posting includes a video of Mayweather and Pac- quiao talking to each other at a music festival in Tokyo, although it is difficult to hear what the men are saying. Mayweather made about $220 million from his May 2015 fight with Pacquiao and at the time posted a photo of a $100 million check -- his guaranteed purse from the bout.
In another angle of the interaction, Pacquiao tells Mayweather, "I have the belt," to which May- weather responds, "I'm going to take it from you like I did before."
Mayweather included no details about the potential matchup in the post, but in videos obtained by ESPN from a Pacquiao adviser, Mayweather says he is tar- geting December for a come- back.
FLOYD MAYWEATHER, JR.
"We gonna take the belt. We gonna get the payday. And I don't want no shoulder excuses," Mayweather said.
Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) earned a unanimous decision win over Pacquiao in their first fight. Pacquiao said he was hampered by a right shoulder injury while landing only 81 punches in that bout. The massively hyped fight delivered a record 4.6 million pay-per- view buys but was largely panned by most boxing fans.
The 41-year-old May- weather has two wins since facing Pacquiao: against Andre Berto in 2015 and his August 2017 knockout of Conor McGregor in the UFC star's boxing debut. Mayweather said after the McGregor bout that "this was my last fight."
He Will Return For
One More Season
Dwyane Wade an- nounced on Sunday that he will return to the Miami Heat for the upcoming season, which he says will be his last.
Wade published a nearly 10-minute-long video on YouTube in which he talked about his decision to continue his career. The title of the video is “One Last Dance...”, which seems to be the theme of his farewell season.
“It goes by fast,” Wade said of his career.
He talked about how diffi- cult the decision has been, ac- knowledging “it’s been a tough summer.” He also said this was the “hardest decision” he’s ever had to make.
He said he asked himself whether he could deal with the travel, the physical pain, being away from his family. He says
DWYANE WADE
there comes a time when you ask yourself whether it’s time to give attention to others.
Despite all these questions and doubts, Wade decided he wanted to play for another year. He will turn 37 in Janu- ary.
Wade averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 22.9 minutes per game last season. He was traded midseason from Cleve- land back to the Miami Heat.
