Eve Is Leaving ‘The Talk’ To Work On ‘Expanding’
EVE
After four seasons on CBS’s The Talk, Eve announced on Monday, November 2, that she would be departing the show at the end of December.
The rapper and singer, 41, confessed that she couldn’t see herself traveling back from London, where she and her husband of six years, Max- imillion Cooper, currently reside. “At the end of Decem- ber, this will probably be my last time on the show in this ca- pacity,” Eve shared in her video announcement.
Eminem’s 'Lose Yourself' Campaign Ad Credited For Joe Biden’s Michigan Win
EMINEM
Eminem publicly en- dorsed Democratic presiden- tial nominee Joe Biden earlier this week with an ad featuring his 2002 8 Mile mega-hit “Lose Yourself.” Mr. Mathers tweeted the cam- paign video last Monday (No- vember 2).
As the election got under- way, votes started trickling in state-by-state and Biden ulti- mately became the projected winner in Eminem’s home state of Michigan, a state Don- ald Trump won in 2016. And according to Twitter, that’s all thanks to Slim Shady.
Several fans flooded Twit- ter after the news broke and commented things such as, “I’d like to think Eminem allow- ing the Biden campaign to use ‘Lose Yourself’ led to this” and “Biden uses Eminem’s lose yourself track for his campaign ad and now he’s just won Michigan. Must feel great #ElectionNight.

DaBaby’s older brother Glen Johnson reportedly committed suicide on Tues- day (November 3) in their hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. Now, the chart-topping rapper is speaking out about John- son’s death.
In a post shared to his In- stagram Stories, DaBaby quoted a line from his song “Intro” from 2017’s Billion Dollar Baby, which goes “My brother be thinkin’ that we don’t love him and let him struggle like we ain’t fam- ily/Like I won’t give up all I got to see you happy, n-gga.”
The following morning (November 4), DaBaby

“Good morning,” he says in the clip. “Check on your people. Somebody probably just wants you to call and say, ‘What’s up, are you straight?’ Go do that.”
Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment have entered into a new part- nership. Universal Music Publishing Group signed Lamar and TDE to an exclu- sive global publishing admin- istration deal, the company announced on Tuesday (Oct. 27).
“Kendrick and I are ex- cited for our new partnership with [UMPG Chairman and CEO] Jody Gerson and UMPG,” TDE founder An- thony “Top Dawg” Tiffith said in a statement. “Jody was passionate from the jump — she fought to make this deal happen.”
Added Gerson, “Kendrick Lamar is not only one of the greatest lyri- cists that has ever lived, but

he has done as much or more than any artist to promote much needed change in our society through music. I and my colleagues at UMPG are deeply honored to be afforded the opportunity to join Kendrick, Anthony “Top Daw” Tiffith and the TDE family to help forward his unique and important vision.”

Food To Georgia Voters
On Election Day 2020
Offset showed support for his fellow Georgia voters on Election Day 2020. The Migos rapper partnered with The Lincoln Project to give out free food at the polls in Gwinnett and Fulton County on Tuesday (November 3).
The multi-platinum sell- ing artist traveled around the Atlanta area, working in a food truck during the day. At- lanta’s The Slutty Vegan and Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks pro- vided the food, helping to feed people participating in the electoral process.
Offset also achieved a personal milestone as Tues- day was the first time he’s voted in a presidential elec- tion. Earlier this year, he

voted for the first time in his life when he participated in Georgia’s primary elections.
This year’s election moti- vated Offset to get more in- volved in the political process. He showed his support for Joe Biden by performing at an Atlanta rally for the Demo- cratic presidential candidate on October 27.
Kenya Barris has signed on to write and direct a forthcoming biopic on Richard Pryor for MGM. The movie studio acquired the film in a heated bidding war.
The biopic will mark Bar- ris’ directorial debut. In ad- dition to directing and penning the script, the Black- Ish creator will also produce the film through his com- pany, Khalabo Ink Society.
Additional producers in- clude Pryor’s widow, Jen- nifer Lee Pryor, through her Tarnished Angel imprint, and Tory Metzger for Lev-
antine Films.
“The way Pryor did what
he did — with truth and specificity that was somehow self-aware and self-deprecat- ing, and said with an un- matched level of vulnerability – that was the power and impact of his work,” Barris said in a state- ment. “Pryor had a voice that was distinctly his and, in many ways, comedy since then has been derivative of what he created. To me, this is a film about that voice, the journey that shaped it, and what it took for it to come to be.”
