BY LEON B. CREWS Sentinel Staff Writer
Helena Dixon Capers, CEO/Fonder of Glam Goddess Cosmetics, said she takes pride in offering the very best.
“I am dedicated to enhancing your image whether it be a special occasion, a hot date, or a night out with the ladies.
“As a model, I found a love for makeup and beauty. I often did my own makeup for various photo shoots, and over the years, I developed a great skill, and found a new love.”
Capers said that love encouraged her to build her own empire of cosmetics, Glam God- dess Cosmetics.
“Stay tuned because there is so much more to come, and I invite all women to take this journey with me.
“I want today’s woman to step outside of their comfort zone and step into a new you; a side no one knew existed.”
Capers said with a spark of shimmering colors to enhance your ego, you’re sure to look and feel nothing but confidence.
“Our product is long lasting with a high gloss shine, very moisturizing, and wears as light or as heavy as you want.
“It also has a mild, sweet aroma to easily draw him in for a kiss. Why settle for anything else? Treat yourself ladies, because you’re worth it!”
Glam Goddess Cosmetics’ mission is to provide a product that the women of the world

Markeis Levatte re- members his childhood and how happy the kids were when someone from the com- munity cared enough about them to give them a happy holiday.
Levatte promised him- self then that when the op- portunity came for him to help the kids, he would not hesitate.
This past Christmas, Lev- atte, along with Tonya Lewis and Keith Bab, made sure a group of kids had a Merry Christmas by present- ing them with gifts.
“I’m just trying to make a positive influence in the com- munity by giving back and helping the kids,” said Lev- atte.
“A lot of people will say that you should never forget where you came from, but I ask what are they doing to improve where they come from? It’s a humbling bless- ing to go through the situa- tion I went through and be where I am now in my life.”
Levatte said looking back, he doubted if he’d ever
get out of his bad situation, but by the Grace of God and the plan he had written out for himself, he made it through the struggle.
“I motivated myself be- cause I surrounded myself with people who had their own. I motivated myself from them, because they did not ask for a hand-out, but were willing to go to work and earn what they needed.
“The most important thing I experienced on this journey was that a lot of peo- ple will not support you be- cause they don’t have the same vision as you, even your own family members.”
Levatte said he tries to make himself available at any time to talk to the youth about second chances.
“Because the generations appear to be getting worse, my way of giving back is shar- ing my experience and reveal to the young people some of the personal things I’ve gone through in life. I felt I will give them a visual that they’re not the only ones going through those things in life.
“I want them to rethink life and the choices and deci- sions they make.”
