TOM BRADY
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers used a big second half to pull away from the Carolina Panthers, turning a competi- tive game into a 46-23 win.
After entering the locker room at halftime tied 17-17, the Panthers had just 20 yards of offense in the second half. Tom Brady threw touchdowns to Cameron Brate, Rob Gronkowski and Mike Evans, but the highlight of the afternoon was a 98-yard scurry for a touch- down by Ronald Jones.
A story to monitor: Teddy Bridgewater suffered an ap- parent knee injury late in the game and went to the locker room. The Panthers don't have their bye until Week 13, as do the Buccaneers.

evenly matched during the first half. There was not a large discrepancy in penalties or turnovers. Tampa Bay's de- fense buckled down in the sec- ond half, holding the Carolina offense to just 20 total yards. The front seven ratcheted up the pressure with eight quar- terback hits and three sacks. Defensive end Jason Pierre- Paul was particularly impres- sive, recording a sack and an interception.
With the team plane arriv- ing in Charlotte late Saturday night well behind schedule, it's understandable why the Bucs defense might have slept in until the second half. When awakened, they were hungry and eager to slam the door on any potential rally by the Pan- thers offense.

Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater’s Knee ‘Is Not A Significant Injury’
TEDDY BRIDGEWATER
Signs for quarterback
Teddy Bridgewater’s
healthy return are positive after suffering a right knee in- jury in the Carolina Panthers’ 46-23 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
During Panthers coach Matt Rhule’s media avail- ability Monday, he said Bridgewater did not have a significant injury and that he was hopeful the quarterback could practice Wednesday.
“We’ll just take it day-by- day, see if he can practice on Wednesday, and see if he’s available to go this week,” Rhule said. “We’ll see how he looks Wednesday, see what he can do.”
The quarterback was in the building getting treatment and in meetings Monday.
