International Golf Organization Appoints Tampa Women Of Color Golf CEO To
Promote Diversity
Clemmie Perry, CEO of Tampa’s Women of Color Golf (WOCG), has been ap- pointed to join the World Golf Foundation Women’s Golf 20/20 Task Force in 2015.
The World Golf Founda- tion is a global organization dedicated to developing and supporting initiatives that positively impact lives through the game of golf and its traditional values. Perry will be joining to bring her unique perspective on diver- sity.
This appointment will allow WOCG to work with long established golf organi- zations.

Carla B. White Saluted As 2015 Miss Teenage Tampa Luncheon Honoree
“By Merit and Culture, we strive and we do” are words that the Miss Teenage Tampa Hon- oree, Ms. Carla B. White, holds true to her heart. This year’s honoree is a member of the Ju- bilant January hostess group where she has served as chairman for several years.
Ms. White will be saluted on Saturday, March 7, 2015, by Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated during its 2015 Miss Teenage Tampa Luncheon. The 11 a. m. luncheon will be held at the Hilton Hotel Airport, 2225 N. Lois Ave. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Ms. White is the daughter of the late Clarence W. White and Mrs. Barbara D. White.
Ms. White attended Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated from Florida A & M Uni- versity, Tallahassee, receiving a Bachelor’s De- gree in Office Administration. She received a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from ARGOSY University.
She started her career as a Business Educa- tion teacher at Van Buren Middle School and Middleton Senior High School. She is currently an Assistant Principal at Ferrell Girls Prepara- tory Academy and aspires to become a school principal.
In 1998 Ms. White followed in her mother’s footsteps and was initiated into Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She is currently the 2nd Vice Pres- ident and Chairman of the Miss Teenage Tampa

Scholarship Pageant. She has served on numer- ous chapter committees and has served as Chair- man of the Miss Teenage Tampa Pageant for the past four years.
She is an active member of First Baptist Church of College Hill because she puts God first in her life. Her other affiliations include being a member of the Florida A&M Alumni Association, Hillsborough Alliance of School Black Educators (HASBE), former member of The Tampa Chapter of The Coalition of 100 Black Women, former member of the Hillsborough County Chapter of The Charmettes, Incorporated, Daughters of Jerusalem (DOJ#603) and Educators for Change.
