Fatal Shooting At Corner
Man Charged With Attempted Murder
Store Under Investigation
A 33-year-old man was taken into custody and charged in connection with an armed robbery with injuries. The investigation is continu- ing.
According to police, on February 27th, around 4 p.m., brothers Donald Hoke, 42, Sol Hoke, 37, and another individual were driving in the 3200 block of Deerfield Drive. The driver stopped the vehicle to allow Donald Hoke’s dog to urinate and Sol Hoke got out to smoke a cigarette, po- lice said.
At some point, 4 Black men approached them and robbed them at gunpoint. One of the suspects reportedly shot at Donald Hoke. Hoke was struck in the stomach and upper thighs. He was trans- ported to Tampa General Hos- pital with non-life threatening
injuries. Hoke told police the man who shot him was armed with a black .22 caliber rifle.
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is currently investigating a shooting that left a Tampa man dead. The shooting took place outside of the Hope Food Store, 4002 N. 22nd Street (corner of N. 22nd Street and Dr. M. L. King, Jr., Blvd.
According to police, Anton Kerel Fisher, 35, was outside of the store when an altercation took place be- tween his friend and another man. At some point, Fisher is alleged to have pulled a gun and threatened to shoot the other man.

was at the store, witnessed the argument, and observed Fisher with the gun. Fisher reportedly pointed the gun at Martin, and Martin pulled a gun and shot Fisher. Fisher died en route to a local hospi- tal.

A shooting Monday evening at the Hope Store, 4002 N. 22nd Street took place out- side of this establishment.
During the robbery, the men took Donald Hoke’s cell phone, money, and ear- rings, as well as property be- longing to the other victims.
Detectives launched an in- vestigation and identified Erik Levy as a suspect. A warrant was issued for his ar- rest and he was taken into cus- tody on Wednesday.
Levy was charged with at- tempted second-degree mur- der, robbery, false imprisonment and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

One Shot By Police, Manhunt
The Tampa Police Depart- ment has arrested an 17-year- old in connection with several robberies. He was arrested and charged with five rob- beries.
According to police, on March 2nd, police officers ob- served the teenager climbing over a fence at the Meridian Pointe Apartment Complex. The teenager matched the de- scription of an individual who allegedly committed three robberies recently in the area. When the officers attempted to make contact with the teenager, he reportedly ran. A foot pursuit took place through the neighborhood and the officers arrested the teenager at his residence. He has been identified as Torrell Calhoun.
After the arrest, his mother gave police consent to enter the home. The officers report-

had been reported stolen in Calhoun’s room.
After interviewing him, Calhoun was charged with 7 counts of armed robbery; 6 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, 2 counts of aggravated battery with great bodily harm; 1 count of battery; 1 count of ob- structing or opposing an offi- cer without violence; and 1 count of loitering or prowling.
Calhoun is currently being held at the Juvenile As- sessment Center without bond.

On For 2nd Robbery Suspect
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is currently searching for a second suspect in an armed robbery that took place early Wednesday. The first suspect, who was shot by police, is re- covering at a local hospital.
According to police, shortly after 1 a.m., Wednes- day, two men entered the CVS Store, 611 South Howard Av- enue. One of the men report- edly pointed a gun at a customer’s chest and told him to leave the store. The cus- tomer complied and immedi- ately called police.
The suspects then robbed a clerk at gunpoint. She cooper- ated with the suspects, but they allegedly became increas- ingly aggressive when she was not able to open other regis- ters. The men allegedly dragged the female clerk around the store, attempting to force her to open registers.

leased, she was able to hide in a back room and call 9-1-1. The suspects then grabbed a manager and dragged her through the store, still trying to gain access to the cash reg- isters.
As Tampa Police officers began to arrive at the scene, one of the men was observed leaving through the front door. The officers told the man to get on the ground, but he refused.
Officer Ryan Jacques, 40, and Reserve Officer Bob Carey, 60, opened fire and the suspect was shot at least
one time. He ran for approxi- mately two blocks before being taken into custody at Moody Avenue and W. De Leon Street. The first suspect was transported to a local hos- pital with non-life threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition. He has been identi- fied as 29-year-old Tony C. Harrison. Charges are pend- ing against Harrison.
The Florida Department of Corrections website shows that Harrison was released from Florida State Prison on July 25, 2014. He was sen- tenced to 8 years in prison for armed robbery and burglary in March 2008.
Police said the second man ran out of the back door of the business.
Officer Jacques has been a Tampa Police Officer for 12 years. Officer Carey is a 30-year veteran of the de- partment. He was working off duty for a Hyde Park neigh- borhood when the robbery took place.
In keeping with protocol, both officers have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the in- vestigations.
Roommate Arrested During Murder Investigation
The roommate of a mur- der victim has been taken into custody. However, he has not been charged with committing the murder.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, a 9-1-1 call was reported shortly before 4 a.m., Tues- day. The caller, identified as 21-year-old Jorge Rivero Perez, reportedly said there was possibly a dead man in- side the residence at 14314 Ravenwood Lane.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered the body of Oscar Luis Castro Gonzalez, 33, of the same address. Perez was also at the scene when police ar- rived.

rant to gather evidence and process the crime scene.
During the investigation, detectives arrested Perez and charged him with posses- sion of marijuana and pos- session of cocaine. He also has a hold placed on him for ICE (Immigration and Cus- toms Enforcement).
The investigation into the murder is continuing.
