Woman Arrested After Domestic Dispute Leads To Stabbing
Man Charged With First Degree Murder

A 26-year-old man was ar- rested over the weekend in connection with a murder that took place last Friday.
According to Clearwater Po- lice, officers responded to the Oakbrook Village Apartments in reference to a shooting. When they arrived they dis- covered that Ms. Saniye Salahutdin, 22, of Clearwa- ter, had been shot and had died from her injuries.
Police began searching for
Jeremiah James Ro- driguez in connection with the shooting. Rodriguez was located late Sunday night and charged with first-degree mur- der.

A 51-year-old woman was taken into custody after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death. The inci- dent took place early Satur- day.
Shortly before 8 a.m., both police and the Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to 1710 N. Martin Luther King, Jr., Avenue in reference to a stab- bing.
When they arrived, the vic- tim, identified as 58-year-old Donald Elford Barnes,

was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they learned during their investigation that the two had been in- volved in a domestic dispute when the stabbing took place. However, they said Ms. Elise Vernell Johnson, iden- tified as Barnes’ girlfriend, did not call 9-1-1 to seek med- ical attention for him imme- diately after the incident. She was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter.
14-Year-Old Charged With Murder
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 14-year- old and charged him with first-degree murder. The charge is linked to the death of an elderly man.
According to police, on September 23rd, around 2:13 a.m., Alexander Perez walked up to 81-year-old Robert Walker, of Holiday, who -was sitting on his porch.
Perez is alleged to have hit Walker several times in the face. He then forced the man into his house by pushing him and went to his bedroom. He is said to have continued to beat the elderly man.
Walker was treated by Fire Rescue and transported to a local hospital where he died later that day.
Perez allegedly took Walker’s wallet and pants and fled on foot. He was ar- rested a short time later and remained in custody.
Last Friday the Medical Examiner’s Office ruled

Walker’s death as a homi- cide as a result of blunt force trauma. The charge against Perez was upgraded to first- degree murder, based on the Medical Examiner’s report.
