Shout out to our shining “Stars,” who re- ceived their nurturing in the Village. Oscar Simmons (son of James Simmons and the late Altamese Simmons) – Successful mod- eling and acting career in addition to working full time as a Pharmacist in New York City. He’s currently enjoying roles on The Have and the Have Nots, Tales and soon on CBS, Ele- mentary.
Congratulations to Alfred Sheppard, Jr. (son of Alfred and Yvonne Sheppard), who accompanied singer Mandy Harvey on key- board and they were Simon’s “Gold Buzzer”
winner on America’s Got Talent. They are cur- rently on tour with the show.

Hats off to Valrie Kemp-Davis, daugh- ter of Hilrie and Bertha Kemp. She is an ac- complished author of children’s books. Recently, she published a 60 page book titled, Jamaican Mi She Mi ABC’s.
