Free Grant Writing Workshops Planned For November
Driver Charged In Collision That Left Woman Dead
The Center for Non- Profit and Community De- velopment, Inc., will host two free professional grant- writing workshops. The workshops will be held on three separate dates during the month of November.
The topics of discussion this month are: “How To Start A 501 c3 Nonprofit And How To Fund It,” and “Free Professional Grant Writing Work- shop.”
The first workshop will take place on Tuesday, No- vember 28, from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. It will take place at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The first hour discussion will be “How To Start A 501 c3 Nonprofit And How To Fund It.” The second hour discussion will be a The second workshop will take place on Thursday, June 29th, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This workshop will be held at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. A “Free Professional Grant Writing Work- shop” session will be cov- ered during the second half of the event.

Both workshops will cover topics such as “About The Different Federal And State Forms And Applications Required To Form A 501 C3 Cor- poration,” “About De- veloping Your 5-Year Plan To Attain Funding And Build Your Organi- zational Capacity,” About What Funders Consider When Fund- ing An Organization,” and “About How To Pre- pare A Grant Pro- posal.”

The Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office has charged the driver in a fatal head- on accident that left a woman dead. The acci- dent occurred on July 17, 2016, on Broadway near Falkenburg Road. It was investigated by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
According to police, Ms. Esther Jean, 31, of Tampa, was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry,

westbound on Broadway Avenue. Jacob Robin Albaraccin, 21 at the time of the ac- cident, of Brandon, was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry eastbound on Broadway Avenue.
Albaraccin was reportedly traveling about 70 miles per hour when his vehicle crossed the double yellow line and struck Ms. Jean’s vehicle in a head on collision.
Police said Ms. Jean died instantly and Albaraccin had to be cut out of his vehicle and transported to Tampa General Hospital.
He was arrested on November 15th and charged with vehicular homicide.

County Seeks Public Input On Equestrian Center Proposal
Hillsborough County will host a meeting on Tuesday, No- vember 28th, to obtain feedback concerning the Bakas Eques- trian Center. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., at All People’s Life Center, 6105 E. Sligh Avenue. It is open to the public.
The center is located in western Hillsborough County with two similar facilities on other County-owned land.
The current center, located at 11510 Whisper Lake Trail, of- fers a variety of horse-related programs designed primarily for children and adults with physical and emotional challenges. The proposed new centers would be located at two of the County’s conservation parks: Sydney Dover Equestrian Trails, 536 N. Dover Road near Brandon, and Northwest Equestrian Park, 9400 South Mobley Road, in western Hillsborough County.
