   Sheriff Elevates Several Deputies To New Positions

fifth in the organization and will be home to the General Services Bureau, the Infor- mation Services Division, Occupational Health Clinic and the Public Affairs Office.
All of the promotions will take effect December 3, 2018. The promotions in- clude:
Major Ciro Domin- guez will leave the Training Division to become Colonel of Department of Opera- tional Support.
Captain O’Neal Jack- son will become the Major of District 1. He is currently assigned to District IV.

Captain Rick Roe- buck leaves District III to serve as the Major of the Training Division.
Lt. Rick Jahnke has been promoted to Captain. His new assignment is in District III.

Earlier this week, Hills- borough County Sheriff Chad Chronister an- nounced the promotions of several employees. One of those promotions is historic, in that it is the first of its kind.
Sheriff’ Chronister
said, “As your Sheriff, I com- mitted to providing the most professional services possi- ble and that starts with pro- moting the most qualified individuals as leaders and supervisors in our office. I couldn't be more excited and proud of the individuals who were promoted because they represent the compas- sion, commitment and pro- fessionalism, which is essential for providing fair
and unbiased law enforce- ment to the community we protect.”
Major Wayne Bunton
has been promoted to the rank of Colonel. This is the first time an African Ameri- can has served in this capac- ity with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Major Bunton is currently assigned to District I. He will assume his position as Colonel of Department of Detention.
As Hillsborough County continues to grow, so does the Sheriff’s Office in order to keep pace and provide the highest level of service the citizens demand. To that point, the Sheriff also an- nounced the formation of a newly-created Department of Administrative Support.
