Tampa Man Claims ‘Stand Your Ground’ Defense
TONY DANIEL
In July, Anthony “Tony” Daniel was arrested and charged with one count of ag- gravated battery with a deadly weapon. Last month, Daniel filed court documents using “Stand Your Ground” as his de- fense.
He is accused of becoming engaged in a confrontation with two women who voiced con- cerns about signs posting racial comments. The argument con- tinued and Daniel is alleged to have hit one of the women re- peatedly with a megaphone.
No trial date has been set in the case.
