MRS. CAROLYN TILLMAN BALDWIN
Mrs. Carolyn Tillman Bald- win passed away on January 29th, 2021 in Tampa, Florida. There will be a viewing on Friday, February 5th, 2021 at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, 33605, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Due to the current CDC re- strictions, we are asking that you use the visitation as an opportu- nity to pay your final respect. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.
Mrs. Carolyn Tillman Bald- win was born on August 12th, 1949, in Perry, Florida, to the parentage of L. W. Tillman and Gladys Hester Tillman.
Mrs. Baldwin was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Mrs. Baldwin will be deeply missed.

Funeral service for Mr. Jessie L. Simmons, who passed away on February 1, 2021, will be held on Saturday, February 6th, 2021, at 12:00 noon at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Anderson, Presiding and Pastor Willie Kin- nard, Eulogist.
Mr. Jessie L Simmons was the son of the late Mary Stewart and Walter Simmons. Jessie was born January 1, 1949, in Andalusia, Ala- bama. He attended the public schools of Nashville, TN and was a graduate of Nashville High School. He later joined the United States Army after graduation and retired from James H. Haley VA Hospital, Tampa Florida.
Jessie was blessed with a lov- ing family. He married Patricia A. Simmons on July 13, 2013.
Jessie was a part of the Long- shoreman Deacons Association. He also enjoyed the simple things in life, his family, friends and es- pecially the grandchildren.
Mr. Simmons was a member of New Fellowship M. B. Church under the leadership of Pastor An- derson. He loved to smile and see the enjoyment of others. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
Jessie is survived by wife, Pa- tricia Simmons; his daughters, Ce- lestine Mosley and Catherine Wilds; sons, Harold Kinnard, Willie Kinnard (Cherie) and Der- rick Kinnard; grandchildren; brothers, Johnny McKnight (Cindy), Cleveland McKnight (Paulette) and Johnny Thomas (Michelle); a loving cousin, Lurena Collier and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.

MRS. HERMINIA MARIA WASHINGTON
A Graveside Funeral Service in loving memory of Mrs. Herminia Maria Washington, who passed away on January 26th, 2021, will be held on Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Ricky Houston, Presiding. Viewing will be held on Saturday February 6th, 2021, rom 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.

Mrs. Herminia Maria Wash- ington was born on February 3rd, 1954,to the union of Dolores Brax- ton and Carlos Wharton. Maria, as she liked to be called, was born and raised in Tampa, Florida.
She attended Howard W. Blake High School and graduated in 1972. She later attended and grad- uated from the University of Florida and eventually earned her degree.
Maria was a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed every day by the ones she left be- hind. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and espe- cially enjoyed seeing her grand- children. Her favorite activities were dancing, attending church services, reading (especially the Bible), and talking with family and friends.
Mrs. Washington leaves loving and wonderful memories with: her husband and life partner, Robert, Sr.; devoted son, Robert, Jr.; lov- ing daughter, Yukia; brothers, Michael and Robert; sisters, Carmin, Catalina and Beverly; grandchildren, Omari, Jahi, Kiy- omi, and Robert, IV; a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.

MS. LITHA MAE HOOKS BECKLES
May 3, 1944, Litha Mae Hooks Beckles was born to Otha B. Hooks and Zettie Singleton Hooks. She was their 7th and youngest child. She spent her childhood years in Vi- enna, Georgia and was educated in the Dooly County School System. After moving to Tampa, Florida, she continued her education at Hillsborough Community College. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Tampa Bay and Lions Club of Cordele, Georgia.
Ms. Beckles relocated to Tampa, Florida where she contin- ued her Christian walk when she joined First Baptist Church of Progress Village. She began work- ing in various positions in the med- ical field, from CNA to Central Supply, at Tampa General and Brandon Regional Hospital. After raising her 5 children to adulthood and an early retirement, she spent 15 more years opening her home and heart to over 100 children as a Foster Parent of Tampa, Florida.
This loving and respected mother’s surviving son and 3 daughters: Kalvosia Hooks (San- dra), Angela Gilmore (JC), Kym- berly Hessing (David), Verna Lewis (Russell), were very devastated of her unexpected passing, and are re- lying heavily on the Lord for strength to make it through.
Ms. Beckles was preceded in death by: her parents, Otha and Zettie Hooks; husband, Irvin Beck- les; brothers, Robert Hooks, Samuel Hooks; sisters, Doris Hooks Stephens, Ruth Hooks Christopher; her youngest son, Stanley Gilmore, Sr.; and grand- daughter, Kiana Malia McLendon. They all will be waiting for her at the golden gates as she receives her wings.
Left to cherish memories of her are: her sisters, Hattie M. Hooks and Lula Jones (Clarence); brother, Apostle Otha B. Lockett (Martha); grandchildren, Marcus Truewell, Mija Gilmore, Urshela Morris, Calvin Lewis, Shenika McLaughlin, Tehran Hooks, Benjare’ McLendon, Stanley Gilmore, Jr., LeAngelo Wilkerson, Milaina Clayton, Tyler Hooks, Odeon Hessing, Mark Gilmore, Trevor Hooks, Rashidi Lucas, Devon Clarke, Rosby Ander- son, Jr., Tashika Hessing, Staevan Gilmore, Kymberly Robinson Lewis, Marcus Gilmore, Alyssia Robinson Lewis, Mellissa Hessing, Stacey Cornier (granddaughter, which she adopted), 45 great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 @ 11 AM at Lighthouse Freedom Center, 7211 S. 78th Street, Riverview, Florida 33578.
