Saunders Foundation Honors Clarence Fort
The Robert W. Saunders Public Library Foundation, Inc. presented the Lamp of Knowledge Award to Clarence Fort at the library, 1505 North Nebraska Avenue.
The award was presented as part of the Black History Experience at the library. The program was free, open to the public, and co-sponsored by the R. W. Saunders Public Library. Dr Aaron Smith is president of the foundation, and Carrie Hurst is Saunders’ principal librarian. (PHOTOS BY BRUNSON)

Free Food Distribution
STATE REPRESENTATIVE SHAWN HARRISON
On Saturday, September 17th, the public is asked to join State Representative Shawn Harrison and Farm Share for a free food distribu- tion.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at University Area Community Develop- ment Corporation, 14013 North 22nd Street.
Farm Share will be provid- ing free food for families on a first come, first served basis.
