Greater Temple Terrace Chamber To Host Political Forum
Girls Raised In The South Presents
The 6th Annual ‘Ultimate Guys Chicken
Wing Cook-Off’ Charity Fundraiser
The Greater Temple Ter- race Chamber of Commerce and Temple Terrace Bar As- sociation will be facilitating a Candidates Forum on Tuesday, September 27th. It will take place at the Tem- ple Terrace Golf & Country Club, 200 Inverness Ave. Temple Terrace, FL.
During the forum the candidates seeking offices and the amendments will be discussed.
The Greater Temple Ter- race Chamber of Commerce and the Temple Terrace Bar Association will be modera- tors, and the forum will allow each candidate time for introductory remarks with a question and answer session following.
Currently, there are seven candidates who have qualified for the election.
The only candidate for Mayor is Ms. Kim D. Leinbach, a former City Manager of Temple Ter-
race.
The candidates for the
two City Council seats are: Phil Armiger, a retired Temple Terrace firefighter; Frank M. Chillura, a businessman and current Mayor of Temple Terrace; Wael S. Odch, a profes- sional engineer; Andy Ross, a retired law enforce- ment, consultant, and member of two municipal boards; Gil Schisler, a re- tired Chief Financial Offi- cer; and Duane Zolnoski, a retired Telecommunica-
tions Director.
Early voting for the No-
vember 8th election will begin October 24th through November 6th, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., at the Temple Terrace Public Library, 202 Bullard Parkway.

The Girls Raised In The South (G. R. I. T. S.) will host their 6th Annual Ultimate Guys Chicken Wing Cook-Off Charity Fundraiser on Satur- day, September 24th at the USF College of Education TECO Room, 4202 E Fowler Avenue (Adjacent to the li- brary) at 6 p. m.
The purpose of this event is to bring together over 200 patrons who will feast on a variety of chicken wings and garner financial support for The G.R I.T.S.’ youth mentor group scholarship fund.
The G.R.I.T.S. organiza- tion provides scholarly, com- mon and spiritual support to young girls while actively pro- moting, supporting commu- nity initiatives and programs within Hillsborough County.
CaSandra Washing- ton, president of the organi- zation contributes the success of the event to the combined efforts of many talented men that love to cook and whom have embraced the efforts of supporting our youth. The best chicken wings “People’s

This year’s participants are Rodrick Washington, Willie Garland, Ed Fai- son, Larry Williams, Archie Williams, Rufus Young, Jr., Cleon Willis, Jerome Richmond, Kaye Marshall, Frank John- son, Kenneth Nelson and Andre Davis.
The charity fundraiser will offer ‘all you can eat’ chicken wings, side dishes, wine tast- ing, door prizes and enter- tainment. It Is a Party With A Purpose!
