Teens Arrested After Burglarizing Vehicle And Fleeing In Stolen Vehicle
Deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office ar- rested two teenagers Tuesday morning after they allegedly committed several vehicle bur- glaries in Seminole and fled in a stolen vehicle.
On Tuesday at 4:30 a.m., deputies were sent to a resi- dence at 6991 Augusta Boule- vard in Seminole.
The deputies were called to the residence on reports of a suspicious vehicle and two suspicious males going house to house checking vehicle door handles.
When deputies arrived, they saw a stolen vehicle from St. Petersburg traveling west on Walsingham Road near Starkey Road. The driver re- fused to stop and deputies were able to monitor the vehi- cle without initiating a pursuit.
When the vehicle ap- proached Belcher Road and Bryan Dairy Road, deputies deployed stop sticks and dis- abled the vehicle. Both occu- pants got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
A canine deputy responded
and tracked the teenagers over a fence into a residential area. The K-9 led them to the back- yard of a residence at 10702 95th Street, where Mitheron Williams, 14, and Nolvin Williams, 15, were found hid- ing.
Deputies found several stolen purses and keys inside the stolen vehicle. They were able to confirm the stolen items were linked to burglaries in the Seminole neighborhood.
Deputies said Nolvin Williams was already being monitored by the Habitual Of- fender Monitoring Enforce- ment program aimed at reducing teen crime.
Mitheron and Nolvin were transported to the Juve- nile Assessment Center on charges of burglary of an un- occupied conveyance, grand theft motor vehicle, and bur- glary into an occupied dwelling. Nolvin was also charged with violation of pro- bation.
Officials said Mitheron and Nolvin are not related.
