Bucs QB Jameis Winston Shows Creative Side, Dabbling In Fashion
Venus Williams Loses To Garbine Muguruza In Wimbledon Final
With his knack for going off script and keeping plays alive, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Win- ston has shown he's one of the most creative players in the NFL. Now he's showing some of that creativity off the field through fashion, design- ing a custom backpack that hit shelves this week.
"I always wanted to have something that was mine. I got Tootsie (his dog), but now I have this bag," Winston said. "It's really amazing."
He collaborated with the company Sprayground to produce the "Jameis Winston Pirate Shark." It features a red flag draped across the front with Winston's No. 3 on it, and menacing shark teeth plated in gold.
"I just put my little spice in it," Winston said with a
big smile. "These teeth are amazing. You see it's drenched in gold. And it looks like a little frost in there. You've got a couple lit- tle symbols with the '3' all up in there. We've got a little gold, a little red. ...
"I felt like a Hollywood movie producer," he said, laughing. "I had my vision, I put it on paper, I allowed other people to use their cre- ative concepts and voila! Here we go."
The project took on an even deeper meaning for Winston, who is a big pro- ponent of education. Staying in school is a key component of the talks he gives at ele- mentary schools and non- profits. He told one young fan during a backpack signing, "You have to fill this with a lot of books, OK?"

Venus Williams was de- feated by Garbine Mugu- ruza in the Wimbledon final. But that didn’t stop Muguruza from praising her opponent.
“When I was a little girl, I was watching these finals,” said 23-year-old Mugu- ruza, according to ESPN. “I was watching Venus—I know it sounds incredible. To be able to play against her and now hold the big trophy, it means a lot.”
Muguruza won the match with a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Williams, who could
Steve Young ‘Surprised’ Colin Kaepernick Is Still Free Agent
COLIN KAEPERNICK
Steve Young is of the opin- ion that Colin Kaepernick is good enough to nail down an NFL job.
The San Francisco 49er leg- end told KNBR’s Murph & Mac that it comes as a surprise to him that Kaepernick is still unsigned, though a lot comes down to the system the team plays.
“I’m surprised, even with the situation last year with the kneel-down during the na- tional anthem, that people can’t see through that and see, here’s a good player that wants to play and is not toxic in the locker room,” Young said, via Daniel Mano of Bay Area News Group. “But he’s got to fit too. He’s the kind of guy who’s going to come off a play fake, see a guy, throw it. If you want him to read through, you want him to find the fourth receiver, the outlet — that’s probably not his game. So he’s got to find the right spot for himself.

have become the oldest woman in the Open era to win a Grand Slam title.
Venus has had to break down boundaries in her sport, and even played a role in making sure women won equal prize money at Wim- bledon in 2007, being the best of the best is not enough.
Venus has won seven major singles titles and four Olympic gold medals. Never mind that her only real com- petition in the sport seems to be her younger sister all while battling an autoim- mune disease, Sjogren’s syn- drome, that causes chronic fatigue and muscle soreness.
ESPN Predicts Bucs Will Win The NFC South Crown
Houston Texans running back D’Onta Foreman is not heading into his first NFL training camp on a great note.
According to Brian Davis of the Austin American-States- man, Foreman was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of marijuana posses- sion and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Foreman, a for- mer Longhorn, was booked by the University of Texas police department.
In a statement issued to the American-Statesman, UTPD spokeswoman Cindy Posey described the events sur- rounding the arrest.
“(The officers) responded to a report of the smell of mari- juana coming from three occu- pied vehicles near the southwest side of San Jacinto

residence hall on campus,” the statement read. “Officers ar- rived on the scene discovered marijuana in each vehicle and also discovered a firearm in one of them.
Foreman was held on $1,000 bond for the drug charge and $3,500 for the weapon charge. He was re- portedly released at around noon on Sunday.
Expectations are at an all time high for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season. After improving immensely and finishing 9-7 last season, the Bucs still unfortunately came up short in the tight race to the playoffs and ended the season incredibly disap- pointed.
Therefore, the Bucs spent the entire offseason loading the roster up with talented weapons on both sides of the ball and are now poised to have one of the best offenses in the NFL after the franchise added several studs to the depth chart like DeSean Jackson, Chris Godwin and of course O. J. Howard.

team that came out on top. However, now that the Bucca- neers have acquired numer- ous weapons through free agency and the draft, compe- tition between the Falcons and Bucs is only expected to continue brewing and the Buccaneers have a very solid chance of being crowned the division champs and finally punching a ticket to the play- offs after missing out in the post season for the last decade.
Denver Broncos wide re- ceiver Cody Latimer got into a physical altercation outside a strip club back in February, and a new video shows him getting pepper sprayed by a bouncer.
Latimer was trying to get into Diamonds Cabaret in Ohio with his uncle and a friend, but there was some sort of disagreement. The group apparently asked to speak to a manager, and footage showed Latimer holding his arms out to separate his group from the bouncer. The bouncer kept hitting Latimer’s hand off his shoulder, and Latimer slapped him in the face. That’s when things got out of hand.
Latimer was pepper sprayed by the bouncer, and the 24-year-old’s uncle ap- peared to be knocked out. The

group left immediately after the fight, and law enforcement sources said there is no pend- ing investigation into the inci- dent. Latimer said he was simply trying to defuse the sit- uation and he has moved on to focusing on training camp.
Entering his fourth NFL season, Latimer has prima- rily played on special teams with the Broncos. The former second-round pick caught just eight passes in 2016.
