Police Seek Help To Solve Fatal Shooting Of Teenager
Tampa Police are investigating a murder that took place late Tuesday night at the River Oaks Apartments.
Teenager Arrested In Fatal Hit And Run Crash
      Late Tuesday night, officers responded to an apartment complex in reference to gun- shots being fired. When the of- ficers arrived, they discovered a 19-year-old man had been wounded.
The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital as a result of his injuries. How- ever, he later died.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, the fatal shooting took place in the 6700
block of Woodville Street, in the River Oaks Apartment Complex, shortly after 11 p.m.
Investigators said that al- though it is early in the investi- gation, they do not believe it was a random act.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly hit and run accident. The accident took place Monday night near State Road 580 and Sawyer Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an unidenti- fied 46-year-old woman, who lived in Tampa, was walking southbound across State Road 580 around 10 p.m., Monday. The victim was struck by a 2000 Acura Integra that was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on State Road 580. The driver of the vehicle struck the pedestrian, causing fatal injuries.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has identified and arrested a man involved in several crimes. He is accused of breaking into several vehicles.
The crime spree began on September 16th. Police said shortly after 12:00 p.m., the suspect broke into two vehicles at Robert's Nursery, at 411 Kingsway Road North, in Seffner. He took personal items including credit cards, cash, and jewelry.

An investigation was launched and the driver, iden- tified as Jesus Manuel Diaz, 18, of Tampa, was lo- cated by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies at Monte Vista Place and Alvarado Drive, where he was detained.
Diaz was later arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death. He was transported to the Hillsborough County Jail.

Detectives continued their in- vestigation and information they received led them to thirty-year-old Gabriel Are- nas Ceja.
Ceja has been charged with vehicle burglary and grand theft, dealing in stolen prop- erty, false information to a pawn broker, possession of a stolen credit card, and fraudu- lent use of a credit card. The in- vestigation is continuing.
   Man Accused Of Killing, Burying Girlfriend

A 37-year-old Polk County man is accused of killing and burying his girlfriend. He was arrested last Saturday.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, around 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Jason Robin- son’s mother contacted the Auburndale Police Department and reported that her son had just told her that he had killed his girlfriend. The Auburndale officer then requested Polk County deputies do a well- being check on the girlfriend at the couple’s residence on U. S. 98 North, near Keen Road, in unincorporated Polk County.
When a deputy arrived at the couple’s RV, he made contact with the suspect outside, who provided a false name and date of birth. The deputy recognized Robinson however, due to looking up his photograph prior to arrival.
Other deputies arrived on scene and began searching for Robinson’s girlfriend. They noticed two chairs and a small table sitting on a pallet next to the RV door, with freshly dis- turbed dirt on the pallet.

at that point, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit re- sponded to continue the inves- tigation.
Robinson was charged with first-degree murder, pos- session of a firearm by a con- victed felon, battery on a LEO, 2 counts of tampering with evi- dence, resisting with violence, depriving an officer with means of communication/ protection, and give false identification to a law enforcement officer.
Police did not release any in- formation about the victim. Po- lice also did not release the manner in which the girlfriend was killed.
