Popular Disc Jockey (DJ) known as ‘Ran- dall ‘C,’ passed away Sunday morning (Sep- tember 26, 2021) from complications caused by the COVID variant, which developed into pneumonia. He was 64 years old.
His longtime friend, former girlfriend, Janice Salter, said the DJ was admitted to
AdventHealth Hospital on September 18, 2021. “He was completely vaccinated, always wore masks and always sanitized,” she said. On his Facebook page he encouraged others to get vaccinated, she said.
A Tampa native, Randall ‘C,’ born as Randall Craig Milliner, graduated from Chamberlain High School. Because of his in- terest in radio and broadcasting, he studied through Radio Connection Broadcasting School.
For many years, Randall ‘C’ was the beloved Gospel music DJ on WTMP – 1150AM Radio, bringing back many of the older gospel recordings. His popularity grew to where he was the master of ceremonies for many of the Gospel programs held in the community. He was the DJ was all types of events in the com- munity – from birthday parties to club events.
Randall ‘C’ also worked at Tampa Gen- eral Hospital, and eventually became a truck driver. At the time of his death he was a driver for Indian Rivers Transport. “Since he was a truck driver, we spent many hours on the phone, just talking about anything and every- thing. He will be truly missed,” Ms. Salter said.
Randall ‘C’ also had his own company with Reginald Brown, “Randall ‘C’ Enter- tainment.”
He was the father of 4.
As we go to press, funeral arrangements are incomplete. However, Wilson Funeral Home will be handling the services, planned for next Saturday, October 9th.
