Tampa Bay Community Prepares For The 6th Annual VIRTUAL Girls Summit
“You Deserve To Be Loved Girl Talk Regional Summit”
The You Deserve To Be Loved Girl Talk Regional Summit is a collaborative led by Dr. Jeffery Johnson, Tampa, FL, and Nikki Cape- hart of St. Petersburg.
They have served thou- sands of teenage girls. Each year hundreds of teenage girls and their parents assemble for a one-day summit that in- cludes workshops on, self-es- teem, financial literacy, vision casting, celebrity guest speak- ers, makeovers, and a fashion show. The success of the sum- mit has garnered much sup- port across the region.
This event is an amazing collaboration between a host of partners and sponsors. This is a school district supported program for Hillsborough and
Pinellas County Schools. The summit is designed for girls in the 6th and 12th grade and their parents. The objective of the summit is to inspire young ladies to achieve their dreams while building their inner character and confidence by knowing their worth, value, and love. This virtual event will include topics on self-es- teem, entrepreneurship, social skills, financial literacy and more.
The day will be filled with creative activities, dynamic guest speakers, and an em- powering panel discussion. Many of the young ladies who are virtually attending the summit come from single par- ent households, low-income neighborhoods, or have suf- fered from various forms of abuse and unthinkable living conditions. The summit’s mis-
sion is to inspire and uplift these young ladies, while edu- cating parents, in a safe and constructive environment.
The summit is open to all. It will be held virtually on Fri- day, October 1, 2021 from 9:30 a. m. until 12 p. m. The summit will be streamed live from the, “You Deserve To Be Loved and Girl Talk YouTube page.”
The You Deserve To Be Loved Girl Talk Regional Summit is supported by: the Hillsborough County Public Schools, Pinellas County Schools, City of St. Petersburg, FL, Suncoast Credit Union, Trentalange and Kelly, P.A., Brandon Law, Casper’s Com- pany United Way Suncoast, Florida Sentinel Bulletin, Minding The Gap Girls Group, The CDC of Tampa, and Con- nections Community Church.
