Family Attends University CDC Lunch And Learn Event
Members of a local family recently attended the University CDC Lunch and Learn event. Shown in this photograph are: Howard F. Harris Jr., (seated), his grandson, Cameron Temple, his niece, Jemelle Wilds, and grandson, Chase Temple. The topic was affordable housing. The Temple brothers serve as Treasurer and Vice President of the St. Petersburg based, Kind Mouse Program.
This program is the sole provider of emergency food provisions to Jane’s Pantry, the social services program administered by the Pinellas County Schools Social Services team. They also support The Homeless Education Advocacy Team (HEAT) by providing three days' worth of food for every child requiring critical attention. Last year was Cameron's first year with the organization. He also conceived the idea and led a fundraiser called, “Souper Bowl Of Caring,” which raised more than $3,000.
