Man Faces Manslaughter Charge
Man Accused Of

Sexual Battery
Against Police
Detectives arrested a 31- year-old man last week and charged him with sexual bat- tery. The incident took place last month.
The incident was re- ported to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on June 22nd. Following an in- vestigation, detectives ar- rested Herbert Lewis Jones on June 28th. He is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
According to police, Jones is alleged to have had sex with a teenager under the age of 18. During the in- vestigation, detectives said Jones admitted to having sex with the victim, even after the victim refused his advances.
He has been charged with three counts of sexual bat- tery and one count of having sex with a minor.

School. Police said the inci- dent did not take place on the campus of the school. However, detectives are in- vestigating to determine if there are any additional vic- tims. The investigation is continuing.

SHANE BARRINGTON
Fort Meade man is facing a manslaughter charge after he punched another man in the face. Witnesses told police it was an unprovoked attack.
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office ar- rested 35-year-old Shane Barrington Tuesday night. He was charged connection with the death of 54-year-old William Forrester, of Bowling Green.
According to the affidavit, on Saturday, June 22, 2019, deputies responded to the Bowling Green Bar on U. S. Highway 17, South in Bowl- ing Green in reference to a battery that took place.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man accused of making threats against police. The in- cident took place last week.
According to police, on June 23rd, at approximately 9 a.m., detectives say Joshua Cramer called the Tampa Police Department and said he was upset with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice.
Cramer is alleged to have said he was out of town and was planning to blow up the Sheriff’s Office Annex in Ybor City when he returned.
A warrant was issued for Cramer and he was arrested at his home by the Tampa Police Department.

Cramer was arrested Tuesday and charged with threatening to discharge a destructive device. He has been released on bond.
The investigation remains active and no additional in- formation was released, po- lice said.
Man Jailed On
According to interviews with several witnesses, Forrester went to the bar to deliver some food to a friend there.
For an unknown reason, Barrington walked over to Forrester and punched him in the face, causing For- rester to fall to the ground and hit his head on the floor.
Forrester was knocked out and was transported to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center.
Barrington was arrested and charged with aggravated battery causing serious bodily harm that evening. He was re- leased from the Polk County Jail on June 25, 2019, after posting $15,000 bond.
Barrington reportedly told police, “I knocked him the f**k out; you don’t know the whole story.”
Forrester died Thursday, as a result of the head injury. An autopsy was conducted the following day, and his cause of death was deter- mined to be blunt impact to the head due to a fall after being struck by the suspect. His death was ruled a homicide.
Barrington was booked into the Polk County Jail, held on no bond.
Teenager
Man Arrested For Molesting
Attempted Human
A 31-year-old Tampa man is facing 6 counts of capital sexual battery. He is accused of having molested a teenager over a 4-year period of time.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to call for service involving a teenager on May 21, 2019. The teenage victim told deputies that she had been sexually battered and mo- lested by Jesus Otero- Cordero. The victim told police the crime began in 2013 and continued until 2017.
Detectives discovered during their investigation that the crimes took place in both Hillsborough County and Pasco County. Working together the detectives were able to corroborate the vic- tim’s claims.
Trafficking Charge
A Tampa man has been taken into custody and charged with attempted human trafficking of a minor. If convicted, he is fac- ing a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years in fed- eral prison.
According to the com- plaint, on June 26, 2019, Robert Ray Williams, 62, texted a phone number listed in online advertisement of- fering young females for sex.
An undercover agent re- sponded to Williams’s in- quiry about the girls and offered Williams a 14 and a 15-year-old girl for commer- cial sex. Williams requested the 14-year-old.
Williams was instructed to meet at a location in Tampa the next day. On June 27, 2019, Williams arrived at the agreed upon location

and paid an undercover agent $200 for sex with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl.
He then proceeded into a trailer where he believed the child was waiting. Once in- side the trailer, Williams was taken into custody.

The evidence police col- lected included a confession from Otero-Cordero, po- lice said.
He was taken into cus- tody at his home in Pasco County and charged with six counts of capital sexual bat- tery and six counts of lewd battery. Other charges were also added for crimes that took place in Pasco County, police said.
