MOTHERS WHO LOST CHILDREN TO VIOLENCE PARTICIPATE IN GREAT AMERICAN TEACH-IN
Great American Teach-In was held in schools all over the United States on Thursday, November 18, 2016. A group of mothers who call themselves “Circle of Mothers” was called upon to speak to the students at Middleton High School. They talked about the children they lost to violence. Those who participated, from left to right: Zelma Culpepper, who lost Zelmond Culpepper; Andrea Pickett, who lost a son, Tysaiah Donaldson; Deanna Joseph, who lost a son, Andrew Joseph, III; LaTrecia Arnold lost a son, Der- rick Moore; Angela Pearson talked about losing Levi Dixon, Jr.; and Felecia Demerson talked about the loss of her daughter, Fele- cia Williams.
