A Spring Fling In Tampa: Fashion With A Twist!

On Saturday, April 29, 2017, “A Spring Fling In Tampa – Fashion With A Twist!” was presented by the Ada T. Payne Friends of the Urban Libraries. The event was held at the Robert W. Saunders, Sr. Library.
The large audience was
entertained with an upscale fashion show that featured three scenes.
The first scene was enti- tled, “Sunday Morning,” with Kalena Slaton (Spoken Word). That segment fea- tured models wearing feath- ers, flowers, fancy or funny hats – “The Hat is always where it’s at!”
Scene two was entitled, “Café Coin Leche in Ybor.” The models wore sassy, savvy, chic or couture casual wear.
The final scene featured all glamour and glitz, drama and romance – “Nights Are Charmed By Evening Wear.”
Commentators for the fashion show were Connie
Arboleda and Sartura Shuman Smith.
The models included:
Darius Bostic, Damarcus Bostic, Nicole Bostic, Connie Bowers-Cross, Phyllis Curry, Sheila Harden, Carrie Hurst, Darryl Myles, Urether Reed Hawkins, Emily Rogers. Alanis Serrano,
Velessie Washington and Darieon Wright. Darryl Myles was the coordinator for the models.
