  City Of Tampa Black History Committee, Inc. Extends Deadline For Scholarship Applicants
 Scholarship honors the first City of Tampa African American City Clerk; the Harold B. Scott Scholarship honors a past dedicated member of the organization; and the Voca- tional Scholarship, that is awarded to a student attending a non- traditional college or university. Stu- dents may apply for these scholarships now!
Applications are available on the website at www.cityoftampablackhis- torycommittee.org. Please call 813- 814-3031 for any questions you have. You may leave a message along with a contact name and telephone num- ber. Your phone call will be returned by a representative of the organiza- tion. Please note that scholar- ship applications cannot be hand delivered!

uments must be mailed to COTBHC, INC., PO Box 1782, Tampa, Florida 33601. All applications must be postmarked by Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Again, visit the website for a copy of the scholarship application and any other details.

 Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic across the world and the disruptions it has caused, the deadline for sub- mitting the applications has been ex- tended to Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
Annually, the City of Tampa Black History Committee, Inc., known in the local community as COTBHC, re- wards students in Hillsborough County for their scholastic achieve- ments. The recipients are motivated to dream, achieve and grow while uti- lizing scholarship funds to obtain a degree from the university or voca- tional school of their choice.
The COTBHC awards scholarships in several categories: The Bobby Bowden Scholarship, named for the founder of the organization; the Presidential Scholarship, in honor of Bettye Greene-Johnson, a past president; the Janett S. Martin
