CAESAR CROCKETT
What began as an Amber Alert from Macon, Georgia Wednesday, ended in Tampa. Caesar Crockett, 29, of Austell, Georgia, surrendered after a 6-hour standoff with po- lice.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, in Macon, GA, police were noti- fied of a triple murder in the 500 block of Moreland Avenue, shortly before 9:30 p.m., Tues- day.
When they arrived, they discovered that Mrs. Janet Samuel, 67, her daughter, 47- year-old Lechasta Childs, and her husband, 69-year-old James Samuel had all been fatally injured. Ms. Jamila French, 30, also the daughter of Mrs. Samuel, had also been injured during a physical confrontation with Crockett, but survived.

Police learned that Caesar Crockett had visited the home and became engaged in an al- tercation with Ms. French, the mother of their 2-year-old son, King Crockett.
A warrant was issued for Crockett for the triple murder and kidnapping of the child.
The Sheriff’s Office in Bibb County said they were con- tacted by the Florida Highway Patrol shortly before 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, and told that Crockett was in Tampa.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, an officer ob- served the vehicle Crockett was driving and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. He was on I-75 near Bruce B. Downs. The suspect failed to stop and a police pursuit was initiated.
Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Deputies and Troopers with the Florida Highway Pa-
trol joined the pursuit. It came to an end after Crockett crashed on the Exit Ramp of I- 4 to I-75.
The Florida Highway Patrol said speeds reached 120 miles during the pursuit. After the crash, Crockett released the child, but would not get out of the vehicle.
Crockett surrendered to police at approximately 7:40 p.m., Wednesday. He was charged with aggravated flee- ing to elude in Hillsborough County. He is also being held on a fugitive bond out of Bibb County, GA.

A local pastor who was arrested after he deliberately defied the social distancing order, has decided to close the church.
Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne, pastor of The River at Tampa Bay Church, held two services on Sunday after he had been warned by Hillsborough County law enforcement.
In a live video, Pastor Howard Browne said, “I have to do this to protect the congregation — not from the virus, but from a tyrannical government.”
Pastor Howard- Browne had been warned by the Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office not to continue holding service. Last Sunday, he held two services.

Sheriff Chronister said, “Our department went to the church and attempted to edu- cate them and explain why they were in violation.
“His reckless disregard has put hundreds of people in dan- ger. His church is fortunate in that they have the technology to stream live for his congrega- tion.”

Detectives Need Help To Solve Tampa Park Murder
The Sentinel has learned that two other people diag- nosed with the Coronavirus have died. Two victims, both women, ages 68 and 86, died on March 31st. This brings the count to 5 Hillsborough County residents who have fallen vic- tim to the virus.
The Coronavirus claimed the third victim in Hillsbor- ough County. The 92-year-old woman died on Monday, March 30th.
On March 26th, a 71-year- old female Hillsborough County resident diagnosed with COVID-19 passed away. This was the second person to die in the county while diagnosed with COVID-19.
The Hillsborough County Health Department said the first death linked to the Coron- avirus took place on Wednes- day, March 25th. The 69-year-old victim passed away at home.
Positive cases and fatalities are reported to the Department of Health at 11 a.m., and 6 p.m.

Detectives with the Tampa Police Department are asking for help to solve a murder. The murder took place on the night of March 20th, shortly before 10:30 p.m.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, officers were dispatched to the Tampa Park Apartments Complex in refer- ence to a report of shots fired. When they arrived in the area of E. Estelle Street and Hender- son Avenue, they discovered that 27-year-old Devante’ Ke- waune Brown had been shot. Brown was transported to a local hospital by Tampa Fire Rescue. He died as a result of his injuries.
Police said the suspects were described as four Black males between the ages of 18 and 25. All of the suspects were wearing dark clothing and were armed with handguns.
