WILSON
MRS. DOROTHY L. COPELAND
Mrs. Dorothy L. Copeland passed away on March 25, 2020. There will be a private homegoing service.
Mrs. Dorothy L. Copeland was born in Tampa, Florida on June 27, 1947, to the parentage of George Green and Northern Davis. Mrs. Copeland attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. She was a home- maker and she loved cooking and socializing with her fam- ily and friends.
Mrs. Copeland was pre- ceded in by: her parents, George Green and Northern Davis; son, Clarence Copeland, III; daughter, Evangela D. Copeland; sis- ters, Georgia Mae Cole and Evelyn Green; 4 brothers, Jerome, Edward, Valley and Thomas.
She leaves to cherish pre- cious memories of her with: 3 sons, Lloyd Copeland (Jaquitha), Antonio Copeland, Gino Copeland; 1 daughter, Bridgette Brown; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 sis- ters, Ida Mae Green and De- loris Green; 1 brother, Robert L. Stanley; 1 uncle, Robert Troupe; other relatives in- cluding, Leroy, Calvin, John, Angela, Makita, Joyce and Kimberly; godson, Raymond Jackson; goddaughter, Petu- nia Jackson; special friends, Gwenette Deshommes, Don- isha Putts, Henrietta Walton and Elisa Phillips; and other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 3 – 8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.
In lieu of the current re- strictions from the CDC, we are asking that you use the visitation as an opportunity to pay your final respects. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.

MR. RUBIN EUGENE PADGETT, SR.
Mr. Rubin Eugene Pad- gett, Sr. of Tampa, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020. Due to the current re- strictions from the CDC, the funeral service will be closed to the public. A Private Fam- ily service will be conducted Saturday, April 4th, at 2 p. m. at Allen Temple A. M. E. Church, 2101 N. Lowe Street, with Reverend Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Sr., Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Rubin Eugene Pad- gett, Sr. was a native and life- long resident of Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County and furthered his education with St. Peters- burg Junior College. Mr. Pad- gett was the Business Owner of Padgett Nursing Home and he was a member of Pleasant Chapel A. M. E. Church.
He leaves to cherish many beautiful memories: four sons, Earl Johnson and wife, Brenda, James Padgett and Linda, Rubin Padgett, Jr. and Nolan Padgett and wife, Sheila; two daughters, Juanita Padgett-Underwood and RaShonda Powe; grand- children, Earl Johnson, II, Jackie Hill, Julian Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, James Padgett, II, Tracy Miller, Mark Padgett, Jonathan Pad- gett, John Padgett, Tracie Lowe, Ralph Underwood II, Nolan Padgett, Jr. and Cameron Padgett and a host of great grandchildren; and a host of other sorrowing rela- tives and friends.
The visitation will be held Friday, April 3, from 5 p. m. to 7 p. m. at Allen Temple A. M. E. Church, Tampa, FL 33606. We are asking family and friends to pay their re- spects and to follow the CDC guidelines limiting gather- ings of no more than 50 peo- ple.

MS. ALVEDA SHARLENE VERNON
Ms. Alveda Sharlene Ver- non, “aka Pumkin,” passed away on Tuesday March 17, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 4, at Mt. Pleasant M. B. Church, 2002 N. Rome Ave., with Rev- erend Dr. C. T. Kirkland, Pas- tor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Alveda was a native and life-long resident of Tampa, Florida. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County and was a gradu- ate of Howard W. Blake, Class of 1969. She furthered her ed- ucation and earned a AS de- gree from St. Petersburg College; Certification from In- ternational Academy of De- sign & Fashion; and BA degree in Sociology from Bethune Cookman College.
Alveda was employed as a Medical Records Clerk at Tampa General Hospital for many years. She was as a faithful member of the Mt. Pleasant M. B. Church. She also served as Secretary for the South Florida Progressive Congress #6.
Alveda was preceded in
death by: her parents, Charlie and Bertha Mae Vernon; and siblings, Derwin Bernard Ver- non, and Darlene Valerie Ver- non-Reed.
She leaves to cherish her memories: brothers, Curtis Vernon (Jessie), Len Vernon, and Charlie Vernon, Jr.; sis- ter, Mamie Cordelia Vernon- Igles (Rudene); nephews, Damien Boatwright, Sr., Len Vernon, Jr., Derwin Vernon, Len S. Vernon, Jamal Fisher, Michael Vernon (Unique), Maurice Vernon (Alayna), Mario Vernon, Theardrick Holmes, Loren Vernon, Mar- cel Vernon, and Rudene Igles, Jr.; nieces, Erika Carter, Charlotte Vernon (Gary), Lanishia Vernon, Princess Vernon, Kalen Vernon, Nikesh Vernon, and Temesha Vernon; and a host of other sorrowing great nieces, nephews, and cousins; sor- rowing friends, Joyce John- son, beloved classmates, Curtis Wright, Arthenia Brown and others of HWB 1969; special friends/thera- pists, Deena Dekoker, and Dave and Sue Dekoker, Pastor C.T. Kirkland, and the Mt. Pleasant M. B. Church Fam- ily, Cammie Dennis, Sam Mehring, and Adrian Webb.

MR. ALPHANSO JEROME DICKENS
A private funeral service will be held for Mr. Alphanso Jerome Dickens who passed away on March 15, 2020.
Mr. Alphanso Jerome Dickens was born on May 14, 1968 in Port St. Joe, Florida to Doris Dickens. He was a resi- dent of Tampa, Florida for 23 years, prior to moving to Frisco, Texas a year and a half ago. Mr. Dickens was honor- ably discharge from the United States Navy. He was employed with T-Mobile USA for the past 16 years.
Mr. Alphanso Jerome Dickens leaves to cherish pre- cious memories of him with: children, Jazmyn Dickens, Micahl Dickens and Mylze Dickens; mother, Doris Clay- brone; brother, Derhon Hardin and wife,
