Have you ever thought about using oils for seasonal allergy relief?
Spring is among us, so that means we say hello to warmer weather. The beams of sunshine, blos- soming flowers and breezy days are waiting for us.
But if you suffer from seasonal allergies, the spring season can be a nuisance.
Seasonal allergies are caused by the body’s inability to adapt to changes in the environment so while some people may thrive during the spring season, others may find it quite difficult to get through their normal daily activities due to the increased onset of itchy and watery eyes, sneezing, red irritated skin and so on.
If you’re one of those people that deal with seasonal allergies and find that over-the-counter med- ications aren’t doing the trick, try some of the following essential oils to help relieve some of the aller- gen symptoms you may experience while transitioning into different seasons.
Lavender Eucalyptus
Peppermint
This versatile oil is one of the best essential oils to use for sooth- ing digestion, headaches, itch- ing, and inflam- mation of the skin.
Touse,rubadroportwoof peppermint oil on the temples or over sinuses if you’re treating a headache or apply to the inflamed or itchy area of the skin that needs to be treated. If you suffer from a cold, you can place a drop of pep- permint oil on the tongue. You can also inhale peppermint through your nostrils to help relieve con- gestion.
Much like peppermint oil, lavender oil is a multi-purpose essential oil that has many bene- fits.
Commonly
known for its relaxing effects on the mind and body, lavender oil can help treat skin conditions as a result of seasonal allergies, such as eczema or dermatitis. To help treat eczema, simply mix several drops of lavender oil with a carrier oil.
You can use oils such as co- conut oil or raw shea butter. Use topically on the skin condition.

Eucalyptus oil can be used to alleviate these allergy symptoms. Simply mix a few drop-offs the es- sential oil. You can use 2 – 3 table- spoons of pure olive oil, almond oil, or coconut oil. Rub the mixture onto your chest, throat, and tem- ples to help relieve congestion.
