Evander Holyfield To Face Kevin McBride As Legend's First Fight Since 2011
EVANDER HOLYFIELD AND KEVIN MCBRIDE
Mike Tyson confirmed the fight with Evander Holyfield back in March, but as negotia- tions fell through, Holyfield is set to face off with Irish boxer Kevin McBride in Miami on June 5 on the undercard of Te- ofimo Lopez and George Kambosos Jr.’s fight.
The former undisputed heavyweight champion, Evan- der Holyfield, will set foot in the ring for the first time in over 10 years against McBride, who’s famous for his TKO against Tyson back in 2005 when Tyson failed to come out for the 7th-round. This was the last fight in Tyson’s pro career.
“So if you can’t fight Tyson, you got to fight the last guy that knocked him out,” advisor to Holyfield, Kris Lawrence said. “It’s not like Evander went deep into the well and found some geriatric guy.”

Antron, 33: 'Rest Easy Until We Meet Again'
Scottie Pippen's oldest child, son Antron Pippen, has died, the former NBA star announced on Monday. Antron was 33.
Scottie, 55, broke the news on Instagram, sharing a slideshow of photos of him- self and his son. The former Chicago Bulls player did not confirm Antron's cause of death.
"I'm heartbroken to share that yesterday, I said good- bye to my firstborn son Antron," he wrote.
Continued Scottie, "The two of us shared a love for basketball and we had count- less conversations about the game. Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn't had it, I truly believe he would've made it to the NBA. He never let that get him down, though —

Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I am so proud of the man that he be- came."
Scottie also asked his fol- lowers to keep Antron's mother, his ex-wife Karen McCollum, "and all of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. A kind heart and beautiful soul gone way too soon. I love you, son, rest easy until we meet again."
In boxing, it is said that styles make fights. From 1980 through 1989, it was the style of four great fighters that not only made legendary fights, it ushered in a boxing renais- sance. The fierce rivalry be- tween world champions and future Hall of Famers known as the “Four Kings” – Roberto “Manos de Piedra” Durán, Mar- velous Marvin Hagler, Thomas “The Hitman” Hearns, and Sugar Ray Leonard – produced a Golden Age defined by the nine world championship
fights between them and so- lidified their place among the greatest to ever live.
SHOWTIME SPORTS DOCUMENTARY FILMS an- nounced THE KINGS, a four- part series chronicling the four fighters’ dramatic and di- vergent ascents to greatness and the legendary matches they produced. The weekly se- ries premieres on Sunday, June6at8p.m.ET/PTon SHOWTIME, with all episodes being made available across the network’s on-de- mand and streaming plat- forms at premiere.
Seton Hall Picks Up Grad
Transfer Alexis Yetna
From South Florida
South Florida forward Alexis Yetna is headed to Seton Hall as a graduate transfer.
Pirates coach Kevin Willard announced the move on Wednesday. The 6- foot-8 Yetna, a native of France, spent the last four years at USF, where he will earn his bachelor's degree later this semester.
“He is a great addition to our frontcourt. He's physical, crafty and a ferocious re- bounder,'' Willard said.
“He has tremendous touch around the rim, but is also capable of shooting from the perimeter. We think he's a perfect fit for our system.''
Yetna averaged 12.3 points and 9.6 rebounds while shooting 54% from the field and 37% from 3-point range as a redshirt freshman in 2018-19. He finished that season with the most re- bounds by a South Florida
ALEXIS YETNA
and American Athletic Con- ference freshman, and sec- ond-most in school history.
After missing the follow- ing season due to injury, Yetna returned to the court this past season and was av- eraging 10.5 points and 7.6 rebounds on Jan. 10 when the Bulls had to go on pause due to COVID-19. He fin- ished the season with aver- ages of 9.5 points and 7.3 rebounds.
