Driver Arrested In Fatal Hit ‘N Run Accident
Tampa Man Faces
Detectives have arrested a driver in a fatal hit ‘n run ac- cident. The accident took place last Saturday night.
According to the Tampa Police Department, a 51- year-old man was seen on video lying down on the road- way at the intersection of E. Robson Street and N. Ne- braska Avenue shortly before midnight.

Detectives learned that the driver of the vehicle was 51-year-old Stephen Pat- terson. Patterson pro- vided a full confession and was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involv- ing a death and driving with- out a license. He was arrested and transported to the Hills- borough County Jail.

A 59-year-old Tampa man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He is accused of pro- viding illegal narcotics to an- other man who died as a result.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, on November 8, 2020, Stephen Bowman called 9- 1-1 to report he found the unidentified victim unre- sponsive inside an apart- ment. Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Arbor Re- serve Circle. When they ar- rived, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
During an interview with detectives, Bowman al- legedly admitted to giving the victim a drug prior to his death, and further admitted to tampering with physical evidence before deputies ar- rived at the scene.
The Autopsy and toxicol- ogy results revealed the vic- tim’s cause of death to be intoxication by gamma-hy- droxybutyrate (GHB).

Four individuals have been arrested after leading police on a chase following a burglary. The incident took place early Monday.
According to the Tampa Police Department, J-Lo Beauty Supply Stores were burglarized. One of the stores is located at 11607 N. 15th Street and the other at 4958 E. Busch Blvd.
Police said two of the sus- pects, identified as Ms. Keave Worthen, 20, and 37-year-old Travis Bolden, entered the store on N. 15th Street, through the roof. Once inside, they took sev- eral wigs and cash.

Christenson, 33, and 40- year-old Ms. Chrystal Leckey, and drove to the lo- cation on E. Busch Blvd. At that location, one of the sus- pects was observed by police exiting the store.
Police attempted to stop the suspects, but they fled. One of the officers attempted to use a procedure to stop the vehicle. However, the driver, identified as Leah Chris- tenson did not stop and continued to escape. She re- portedly drove into a police car, which resulted in an of- ficer breaking his ankle.
After the crash, some of the suspects fled on foot. Of- ficers located several thou- sands of dollars in cash and
several thousands of dollars in wigs inside the cars.
Ms. Christenson, Ms. Leckey, Bolden, and Ms. Worthen were arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft. Ms. Worthen was additionally charged with resisting an officer with- out violence.
