A 40-year-old man is fac- ing several charges after he reportedly broke into the home of an elderly woman. The burglary took place on July 28, 2021.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, who was em- ployed by a local moving com- pany reportedly unlocked the windows of the victim’s home before leaving. Around 4 a.m., the following day. The suspect returned to the home and en- tered through a window. He locked the elderly woman in the bathroom and removed thousands of dollars in jew- elry from the home.
The victim called police after he fled the scene. Detec- tives launched an investiga- tion and identified Renaldo Worthy as a suspect. They obtained a warrant and Wor-

Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing Of 15-Year-Old
The stabbing took place in the area of N. Packwood and W. Sligh Avenue.
    RENALDO WORTHY thy was arrested on August
2nd, as he had dinner at the Long Horn Steak House, in Brandon.
At the time of his arrest, Worthy had credit cards and jewelry taken during the bur- glary. They also found items stolen during a series of vehi- cle burglaries that had taken place last weekend in New Tampa.
Sheriff Chad Chronis-
ter said, “Renaldo Worthy is a career criminal who clearly has not learned from his mistakes and continues to make terrible decisions.
“Through excellent detec- tive work, our team quickly located and arrested him, en- suring he faces serious conse- quences for his defiant actions. We have no tolerance for this behavior in our county and we hope Worthy learns his lesson for good.”
Worthy was charged with robbery home invasion more than $300; grand theft third degree; failure of career of- fender to register or provide information; false imprison- ment; burglary of an occupied dwelling with assault or bat- tery; battery (victim over 65); and six counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance (vehicle).
Detectives are continuing their investigation into a quar- rel that has left a teenager dead. The incident took place last Friday morning.
According to the Tampa Police Department, the crime took place around 3:15 a.m., last Friday.
The 15-year-old and an-
other individual became en- gaged in an altercation. At some point, the victim was stabbed. A witness transported the teenager to a nearby hospi- tal, where he died as a result of his injuries.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is contin- uing.
 Man Convicted Of Murder Gets 40 Years In Prison
Detectives Seek Information In Man’s Death
The injured man was found at the intersection of Moun- tain View Lane and Titus Court.

On June 28th, Dontae
Johnson was convicted of first-degree murder. Last week, he was sentenced to 40 years in prison. He was ac- cused of killing a man who was attempting to sell a mo- torcycle on line.
The murder took place on January 30, 2017, when James Beck and his teenage son drove to Tampa t0 sell a dirt bike they had posted on Craig’slist. The potential buy- ers agreed to pay more than the agreed price of $1,200 if the dirt bike was delivered.
The father and son loaded the dirt bike and met the sus- pects shortly after 7 p.m.,

Detectives said when Beck realized the amount of money wasn’t correct, he told his son to go to the truck.
Johnson pulled out a gun and pointed it at the vic- tim and his son. The victim told his son to run to the truck, and the victim went to get in the truck and leave. Johnson shot the victim several times and his son saw him fall to the ground as he was trying to climb into the driver’s seat.

Johnson, who was 17 at the time, also fled the scene. Johnson was arrested the next day.
Williams accepted a deal where he would serve 12 years in prison and 1o years of probation. He also testified against Johnson in the trial.
The 40-year sentence in- cludes a mandatory mini- mum sentence of 25 years. As a result of Johnson being 17 at the time of the crime, he will be entitled to a sentenc- ing review after he has served 25 years of the sentence.
Detectives are currently seeking information about a murder.
The incident took place last week.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the in- tersection of Mountain View Lane and Titus Court. When they arrived, they discovered that an unidentified man was suffering from trauma to his upper and lower body. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

said, “We believe this is an iso- lated incident, and the victim appears to have been targeted.
“This senseless violence leaves nothing but grief, heart- break, and anguish in a com- munity that deserves better. Those who commit these vio- lent acts will face serious con- sequences, and the sooner we catch them, the sooner peace is restored. We urge anyone with information on this incident to call us immediately.”
