AIKENS
DEACON WILLIE LEE LEWIS
A Homegoing Service for Deacon Willie Lee Lewis of Tampa, Florida, who passed away, on May 24, 2018, will be held on Saturday, June 2nd, 11 a. m. at Peace Progressive Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 2607 E. 24th Ave., Pastor Sylvester Robinson, with Rev. Cleveland Lane, Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church of Highland Pines, officiating.
Deacon Willie Lee Lewis’ life began on August 30, 1944 in Campbellton, FL. He was born to the late Robert Lee Lewis, Sr. and Martha Lee Lewis. Affec- tionately known as “Lump”, he was a graduate of St. Paul High School in Campbellton, FL, class of 1963.
He was employed for 12 years at Hillsborough Transit Authority. He became part owner of Lewis Grocery and later retired from Rooms to Go Furniture Store. He was con- verted at an early age. He joined St. Matthew M. B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev- erend Long. He later joined First M. B. Church of Highland Pines and became a deacon under the leadership of the late Pastor Frank Carter, Sr. and continued to faithfully serve under the leadership of Pastor Cleveland Lane.
Deacon Lewis departed this life on May 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kaythaniel Lewis and his father, Robert Lee Lewis, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his pre- cious memories, his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Betty Lewis; 4 daughters, Twanda Lewis, Teresa Clark (Andre), Fe- licia Lowman (Andre) and April Lewis; 5 sons, Kenneth Lewis, Ricky Lewis (Arnetha), Maurice Lewis (Tavi), Kelvis Askiew (Tisha), and Christopher Lewis, all in Tampa FL; his loving mother, Martha Lee Lewis of Campbellton, FL; 2 sisters, Mary J. Hoover of Campbellton, FL and Lola B. Capehart of Dade City, FL; 3 brothers, Odell Lewis (Mattie) of Campbellton, FL, Robert Lewis (Carrie) and RD Lewis (Ida) of Tampa, FL; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Robert Gray and Tony Gray of Campbellton, FL; sisters-in-law, Louise Anderson and Pearlie Robinson of Tampa, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June1st,from5to7p.m.The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

MRS. LORENA H. YOUNG
Mrs. Lorena H. Young of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018. Services will be held Saturday, June 2nd, 10 a. m. at Cathedral of Faith Church, Inc., 6304 N. 30th Street, Apostle James H. Howell, pastor; Bishop George Bailey, officiating. The in- terment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Lorena passed through glory’s morning gate and walked into par- adise. The Carpenter completed her chair and God called His dear child home.
Lorena was born on December 14, 1952 in Adel, Georgia to Donzell and Louvina Holloman. She graduated from Brandon High School, in Brandon, Florida, in 1969. She worked at Nu-Air Manu- facturing Company in a supervi- sory capacity for over 15 years until her health declined. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donzell and Louvina Holloman and brother, Donzell Holloman, Jr.
She has been a member of The Deliverance Church of The Body of Christ for over 15 years and pro- vided love and support as one of the Mothers of the church.
In her free time, Lorena en- joyed witnessing about God’s goodness, spending time with her family, singing, baking, cooking, and shopping. Lorena never missed the opportunity to talk about how awesome God is. Her life and passing are a testimony of God’s goodness, grace, mercy, and favor. Her Christian walk, love for others, and laughter affected everyone she encountered. Al- though she will be missed, she is too well loved to ever be forgotten. She is at rest in the arms of Jesus...and He has said “Well done My good and faithful servant”.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ories: her loving husband, Murray Young, Jr.; two beautiful daugh- ters, Teresa Young and Mechell Young-Williams; a wonderful son- in-law, Christopher Williams; brother, Joseph Holloman; grand- children, Dominique Malone, Kiarrah Best, Reginald Burney, and Chi’Anne Brackin; nephew, Jermaine Filmore; great-niece, Jertrice Filmore; sister-in-law, Corine Young; god-children, Tadiah Taylor (deceased), Kristina Roman, Lisa Johnson, Trenika Stovall, Tachonta Ammah, Kavon- nah Means, Lachandra Blue, An- gela Allen, Tony Williams, and Jessie Brackin; a host of loving cousins, extended family and church family, which includes god-sisters, Jacqueline Brown, Pa- tricia Cromuel, and Mattie Brin- son; and dear friends, Mary Taylor, Christine Harvis, and Mar- cia Buckley.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June1st from5to7p.m.Thefam- ily will receive friends from 5 to 7 p. m.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ollie Bell Wilson Darden, who passed away on May 25, 2018, will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 11 a. m., at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL 33610, Rev. Dr. S. Evan Burrows, offici- ating.

On January 14, 1934, Ollie was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Thelma Louise) Wilson, in Jacksonville, FL. She was a long time employee at Tampa Health Care as a Certified Nursing Assis- tant.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Jim and Thelma Louise Wilson; husband, Mr. Oneal Dar- den; and siblings, Deborah Dar- den, Deliliah Darden and Samuel Lee Wilson.
Those left to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Rev. Dr. Thelma W. MR. VALENCIA ALEXIS DAVIS ‘CRICKET’
Homegoing Services for Mr. Valencia Alexis Davis, who passed away May 24, 2018, will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 11 a. m. at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 North 40th Street, Tampa, FL 33610, Minister Von- rain Davis, officiating.
A native of Tampa and the oldest son of Ernestine Davis and Charles Reid, Valencia was al- ways called by his nickname, “CRICKET.” He was born on September 17, 1954. He attended Hillsborough County Public Schools: Lomax Elementary, Booker T. Washington Junior High and Middleton Senior High School. Thanks to the generosity, care and love from his dear grandparents, Irene and Robert Reid, Cricket was able to manage a small restaurant. With the help of his father, he thoroughly en- joyed maintaining their shoe re- pair shop (shining, dying, new soles, and other accessories). He worked for fifteen years at the Tampa Tribune Newspaper.
Cricket was preceded in death by: his grandparents and brother, Zollie, Elizabeth and Vincente Davis; his father and aunt, Charles and Mary Reid.
He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Ernestine Davis; sons, Veonardo Davis, Sr. and Vacanti Anderson; grand- children: Veonardo Davis, Jr., Jaylen Robinson, Jayla Ander- son, Jarod Anderson, Amirah Anderson, Vacanti Anderson and Vacanti Anderson, Jr.; four great-grandchildren; four broth- ers, Varrow Davis, Vonrain Davis, Lloyd Pilcher and Vernest Pilcher; sisters, Aajilliyah Reid, Charlene Reid, Lisa Reid, Telisa Marshall and Vernetta McAdoo (Wayne); one aunt, Cherridine Birt (Charles); surrogate mom, Pearl Reid; and a host of loving nieces, nephew and cousins.
