Detectives with the Tampa Police Department are inves- tigating a fatal shooting. The incident took place Saturday evening at the intersection of S. Dale Mabry and W. Mango Avenue.
According to police, an al- tercation occurred between the victim, later identified as Raequan Bunch, and an- other individual. At some point during the altercation, Bunch was shot in the upper body.
Bunch was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Police said the person ac- cused of the shooting was de- tained near the location where the shooting took place.

Detectives have not re- leased any information about the other person involved in the shooting. They are contin- uing to investigate the case to determine what, if any, charges will be filed in the case.
A Tampa man died Friday after being struck by a vehicle. He was attempting to cross Nebraska Avenue shortly be- fore 7 p.m., Friday.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Jeffrey Burgess was walking across the traffic lanes of Nebraska Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle. The front, passenger side of the vehicle struck him.
Police said the driver, who was not identified, and three witnesses remained at the scene.
Burgess was transported to Tampa General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He passed away on Friday.
Police stated that the in- vestigation remains active.
Detectives with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice are investigating the death of an inmate. The man died Sunday.
According to police, Emergency Medical Services were called to the Falkenberg Jail in response to an inmate being unresponsive. After the jail medical staff and the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue stabilized 45-year-old Mauricio Blanco, Jr., he was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital. Blanco passed shortly after reaching the hospital.
Investigators said they have not determined what caused Blanco to become unresponsive.

an officer with violence, and possession of cannabis. At the time, Blanco was out of jail on bond on drug charges of possession of cannabis, possession of drug parapher- nalia, and driving with li- cense suspended. His bond was revoked after the new charges were filed.
The investigation is con- tinuing.

Last week, a fisherman found the body of a woman near the Howard Frankland Bridge. It was taken to the Pinellas-Pasco County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a man wanted in con- nection with several burgla- ries. The burglaries date back to earlier this year.
The man being sought is described as a Black man, be- tween the ages of 20 and 30; he is between 5’11” and 6’1” tall, and weighs between 205 and 215 pounds. He has long dreadlocks and possibly a tat- too on his right wrist.
On November 19th, the suspect was captured on video forcing open the rear door of Pho Hoang Restau- rant, 3827 S. 301 Highway, in Riverview. During the bur- glary, he took both cash reg- isters and fled the scene.
He appears to be the same person from similar burgla- ries that have taken place since August 2018, at Lotus Nail Salon, 3513 Bell Shoals Road; Majestic Eye Tattoo, 6417 S. Highway 301; Pink and White Nails, 10879 Bloomingdale Avenue, and Tire Choice & Total Car Care, 3523 Bell Shoals Road.
According to the St. Peters- burg Police Department, the body has been identified as Ms. Sheila Capone, 26.
No additional information was available at press time. The investigation is continu- ing.
BURGLARY SUSPECT
Detectives said in each of those burglaries, the suspect entered businesses in the same plazas, entered through the back door, and took the cash registers.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an unex- plained death. Skeletal re- mains were discovered Sunday.
According to police, a 9-1-1 call came into the New Port Richey Police Department at approximately 10:23 a.m. The caller told police that joggers had found the human remains west of 4300 Barbara Street. The parcel of land is 60 acres.
Preliminary information indicated that there were no identifying factors and partial clothing on the remains.
It is unknown if foul play is suspected in the death. The in- vestigation is continuing.
