MRS. ELIZA DELORES MCGRIFF
Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Eliza Delores McGriff, who was called home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2017, will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017at11a.m.atSt.LukeA.M. E. Church, 2709 North 25th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Kirk Bogen, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, George and Nellie Thomas; husband, Earlie (Earl) Dexter McGriff; son, Michael Mc- Griff; sisters, Essie Steplight, Margaret Dunbar, Gertrude Bur- dgess, Connie Ford; brothers, Dave Thomas, Price Thomas, James Thomas, J. C. Thomas; brothers-in-law, Shelley McGriff, Woodrow Steplight, Sr., Garland Dunbar and William Ford, Sr.; sister-in-law, Catherine McGriff and Louise Bryant.
Eliza will be missed by: chil- dren, Dexter McGriff, Terrie Wade, Fred McGriff and Sandra Reeves; daughter-in-law, Veron- ica McGriff; grandchildren, Gylon McGriff, Dr. Kari Miller, Dale Reeves, Brian Reeves, Heather Reeves, Ashley Reeves, Erick McGriff and Ericka Mc- Griff; great grandchildren, Noah McGriff and Nia Miller; and a host of cousins, other family members and special friends.
Eliza was born January 22, 1929 to the parentage of George and Nellie Thomas in Palmetto, FL. Eliza was the last survivor of nine siblings. She had many sto- ries to tell about her upbringing in Palmetto, FL, highlighting the adventures, hard work and amusement that it was to be a farmer’s daughter.
Eliza continued her formative years at Bethune-Cookman Col- lege. She completed her Bache- lor’s from the University of Tampa in 1969, the same year her eldest son graduated from high school. Eliza began her career as a Teacher in Hillsborough County Public Schools where she retired. Teaching was so much a part of her. This was her signa- ture, and she certainly had an im- pact on many lives.
Mrs. McGriff was a faithful member of St. Luke A. M. E. Church for many years, until her health slowed her down. She be- came a Deaconess during her years of service. She read scrip- tures every day. And, always said that “God will take care of you.” She loved her family and children dearly. And, instilled in them that nothing is impossible. God had plans for her despite our sadness.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, November 3, 2017 from 5 – 8 p. m. with the family present to receive friends from 6 – 7 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home. Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at approxi- mately 10:45 a. m. for the service.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ernestine Ash Trice, who passed away on Sunday, Oc- tober 22, 2017, will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 12 Noon at New St. Matthew Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 1006 S. 50th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Rev. Alec Hall, Pastor, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Simon Ash, Ethel DeShazier and Lovett DeS- hazier; six siblings, Lorenzo, Ruby, Chinoah, Emily, Sylvia Ann and Lovenia.
Mrs. Trice leaves to cherish memories of her with: a loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Aaron T. Trice; eight chil- dren, Angela Thomas of Pitts- burgh, Pamela Stallings (Alan), Sheila Hudson (Horace) of Georgia, Dulcey Hordge (Calvin), Patricia Williams (An- tonio), Eddie M. Thomas (Hal- imah), Michelle Williams (Kevin) and April Young (Bryant); 38 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; five sib- lings, Nettie Mae Bell of Ala- bama, Lawrence Ash (Olivia) of California, Simon Ash, Jr., Richard Ash (Veronica) of Talla- hassee and Agnes Roundtree (Ronald) of South Carolina; a host of nieces and nephews; a special (niece/sister), Karalia Baldwin; and a very special friend, Vera Sanders; other fam- ily and friends who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Ernestine Ash Trice was born in Estiffanulga, Florida on November 22, 1949 to Simon Ash, Ethel DeShazier and Lovett DeShazier. Mrs. Trice was a res- ident of Tampa for over 49 years. She was a faithful mem- ber of New St. Matthew Mission- ary Baptist Church.

Funeral service for Ms. De- loris Louise Winston, who passed on October 24, 2017, will be held on Saturday, No- vember 4, 2017, at 2 p. m. at Northside Missionary Baptist Church, 5706 N. 40th Street, Tampa, with Rev. Ricardo Robinson, Pastor, officiating.
Ms. Winston was preceded in death by: her parents, Au- drey Carter and Bill Lane; fos- ter mother, Alma Thomas; one sister, Patricia Taylor; nephew, Tolondo Holder and son-in-law, Aubrey Conner.
She will always be loved and remembered by: her chil- dren, Willie Cole, Ellamae Grier, Catherine Lane; grand- children, Talmeka and Terrell Williams, Dontavis Bowles, Kiedra Norton, Tonquica Christian, Willie Harrison, Liquwanda Morgan, Nicole Sallins, James Sallins, Jasmine Sallins, Charles Sallins, Mar- cus Green, Willie Cole, III, Joshua Scott, Tiana, Jordan Dais, Kayla and Regine Dais; great grandchildren, Teganae, Salayla, Qu’auri, Queterrio, Yasmine, Helmer, Dontavis, Devon, Jayeeon, Jakeia, Jai- son, Kamyah, Kylie, Neveah, Jayde, King, Aaliyah, Arielle; father of her children, Ernest Grier (daughter, Earnesha Grier and children, Tyre, De- wayne, Jordan and Milyn); and the entire Grier family; nieces and nephews, Marcellia, Terry, Sherry, Shalonda and Robert; and a host of other relatives she loved dearly.
Ms. Deloris Louise Winston was born on May 26, 1949 in Hazlehurst, Georgia to the late Audrey Carter and Bill Lane. She moved to Tampa in her earlier years where she lived the rest of her life until her health declined.

MR. STEVEN EUGENE LANE
Homegoing Celebration for Steven Eugene Lane who passed away on Monday, Oc- tober 23, 2017 at the Vita’s Health Care, will be held Sat- urday, November 4, 2017 at 11 a. m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 311 East Broadway St., Oviedo, Florida 32765 with Pastor Jermaine Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Boston Ceme- tery, 199 Boston Cemetery Road, Oviedo, FL 32765.
Officer Lane gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a native of Tampa, FL. He spent his first 18 years in Tampa where he was very ac- tive in sports: Tampa Eagles Football, Southeast Little League Baseball, Brandon High School Football, and at the University of Central Florida, where he graduated in 1998. He received his Mas- ter’s Degree from Saint Leo College. While at the Univer- sity of Central Florida, Steven made his home in Orlando, Florida.
Officer Lane spent the re- maining years in Criminal Justice. First, with kids in Tampa, then with the Florida State Prison System (Orlando, FL), and finally with the Fed- eral Government (Coleman Correctional Institution) until his death.
He was born March 3, 1976 to the proud parents, Leroy and Dorcea (Sally) Lane.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: loving wife, Pamela Lane; 2 daughters, Niya and Narija Lane; a brother, Isaac Lane; in-laws, (Birmingham, AL), and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation for Steven Lane will be held Friday, November 3, at Postell’s Mortuary, 811 N. Powers Drive, Orlando, FL 33818, between the hours of 4-7 p. m.
